  2. Awesome. I got it for $229 in store p/u Thanks
  3. i've been anxiously awaiting the hundreds of markers i ordered. just got an email amazon canceled my order for the blue ones. i hope they don't cancel the rest. anyone receive these yet?
  4. sweet deal, i just dont think i would use it often. when i need a miter saw i always have power. i am anxiously awaiting a deal on the 20v trim gun. I am hesitant to pull the trigger on one at retail price

thanks. I have an old hitachi electric planer that still works (could use new blades) and the adjustment know broke (still works with channel locks) but for this price i had to grab it. They had 2, one was open (pictured) and the one i got was in the box with all accessories and paperwork. I have always been a fan of bosch corded tools. I hope this one is similar in quality to the rest. I didn't do my research on this tool like i normally do.

    Hilti TE60

my experience with hilti has been nothing but the best. i own a few dx guns 2- gx120s 1- awr3000 jack hammer 1-te7 sds plus awr 800 a hilti DCM II coring rig 1- te60 all have held up to any abuse we can throw at them. T

Picked up a Bosch corded planer the other day for $55

    Hilti TE60

i got it today. It is smaller then i expected. It came with a few chisels and 1 mean looking drill bit (i think 5/8")

    Hilti TE60

I just ordered one. Excited to get it next week and put it to the test. I hope it is similar quality and power as all my other hilti tools
  10. i use the estwing you have pictured, but the black smooth face model. I also carry a stanley 24oz steel hammer. I like the grip on the stanley, but i like the angle of the claw and the weight of the estwing.

    Hilti TE60

anyone here use a hilti TE60, wondering if it is worth the money over the large bosch and makita's. I am entertaining buying a lightly used one, opposed to a new bosch. im looking for a large rotary hammer for drilling 1"-1/ 1/2" holes. I have a coring drill for anything bigger then that. I also need the SDS max chuck to work my ground rod attachment (my new TE800 would be perfect, but i don't want to buy another ground rod driver for that style chuck)
  12. thanks jimbo i am always looking for a deal on these and ca never find them under 80cents. I just ordered 8-36 packs. i can wait a few months at that price. I will be stocked up for a few years
  13. What is the difference between the two impact drivers? Seems like a great price, but not sure I follow the need for 2 different 1/4" drivers.

    Just got a TE-800

i will take a side by side pic and post it. the hilti is much larger

    Just got a TE-800

got to use it today for some simple chipping. using a 3": bit. worked as i would expect. It does feel a little heavier then the bosch, but not that much of a difference. Hilit says it weighs 24lbs.the bosch weighed 22.5 lbs the bosch is more compact then the hilti. the true test will come in the next few weeks when i will be saw cutting and jack hammering a 6" slab. I will also have my hilti awr3000 out, but i prefer the hand held breakers for controlled demo. with the new breaker i got 3 bits. 2 of them (point and chisel) have the squiggly lines that are designed to help spread and break quicker im anxious to see how these work here is the breaker i replaced with the hilti. I still plan on looking into repairing this tool, although i feel it will not be worth it. The motor seized, when i took it apart and got it spinning again it would sieze after a few seconds. I think it is a gear issue.
  16. Just picked up a bosch bull dog extreme SDS rotary hammer for $179 at HD I have had 2 bull dogs in the past that cost about $200 and they were great. the bulldog extreme always cost $40 more. I saw this one for 179 and grabbed it, I was in need of an additional SDS plus hammer drill and didn't feel like buying another hilti if it was going to get left on the job. after coming home and doing a little research, it looks like they got rid of the standard bulldog and brought the price down on the bulldog extreme. Now they have a bulldog extreme MAX. none the less for drilling holes for tapcons and anchors these drills are great. amazon also has it for 179

    Just got a TE-800

My Bosch demo hammer finally died after 4-5 years of abuse. The bosch was good to me, and didn't owe me anything, but came across a deal on a hilti TE800 with a bunch of the new bits and pulled the trigger. It looks and feels bigger then the Bosch If it hits harder I'm sure i will be pleased. I will put this tool through the test. although this will not use the SDS Max bits that i have acquired, i will be buying a large rotary hammer in the near future where they will see some use. Especially the clay spade and ground rod driver.

    Dewalt tote

I will post a picture later. Here is the link. It is exactly as shown in the photo. If you look closely you can see the side handle. http://www.toolbarn.com/dewalt-dwst08205.html

    Dewalt tote

i got mine today. It is different then the one pictured above. It has no top handle, just side handles. Almost looks like that one is a Tstak version, the one i got is tough systems. It is rugged, and a good size for my daily use cordless tools. I will add a top handle for easier one handed carrying.

    Dewalt tote

i just ordered one of those totes. $29 @ tool barn. i am going to use it for lugging around my 20v max tools/ batteries/ chargers. i also grabbed a 2 pack of 5ah batteries. $134 with the $25 off promo
  21. my dewalt gun has been great for most applications, but i have had a few issues shooting 12d nails. It works great with 8d nails. my issue may be the brand nails. I bought 8d pasload nails and grip rite 12d nails from HD. the 8d work flawlessly. The 12d, often bend the head and don't sink all the way. Not sure if it needs to be adjusted, it was sinking the 12d fine at first. i have ran through about 3/4 of a box of each. framed a stage for an art studio, a small roof and a few walls. I will put it through the true test come spring. I do not work with wood for framing often.
  22. Looks like you got the right idea. How old are you? what type of school are you in? it is hard to follow some of the wires in the photos, but looks like they are all correct. the 2nd photo- the outlets are wired Parallel ( i recommend this way) Series would mean you use 2 screws instead of a wire nut. only change i would recommend is use a 3 wire for the switch leg. This way you do not have to code the white black. abandon the white, you may need it in the future for an occupancy sensor. on the 1/2 switch hot duplex did you break away the tab? a couple pointer- work on stripping the perfect amount of wire. be sure to never have any insulation under the screws. (yours look perfect in the photo) make sure the wire goes on the right direction (yours are correct) i cant tell you how often i see people put the wire the opposite way the screw turns. use quality wire nuts. ( i only buy the 3m with the rubber skirt) be careful going from 12g to 14g as you can damage the wire if you clamp down with strippers set to 14 on a 12 wire.
  23. I would love to try out the green laser. I only saw the green line lasers, i was looking for the dot lasers. I paid $149 for the 5 point, figured i couldn't go wrong for that price. I love the how small the case is, and so far the few times i have use it, it works fine. i think my next PLS will be green.
