  1. I was in need of another laser, and wasn't in the mood to shell out the cash for another PLS ( i have the PLS4 and PLS5) so i picked up a dewalt laser on sale. anyone have any experience with one of these. We do a lot of metal framing and electrical work, and the plumb feature and the 90 degree function of this will be nice. I haven't used it yet, but i like how compact it is and how the wall bracket and stand are integral as opposed to the PLS's where it is different pieces. below is a link to the item i purchased http://www.cpooutlets.com/dewalt-dw085k-self-leveling-5-beam-laser-level-kit/dewndw085k,default,pd.html

    Home Depot

Framer - thanks for the lowes 10% off. Just used it towards my new bosch table saw. As for the rigid vacs. They are a deal for the price. I own a few. I have had issues with the switches and plugs on them. But always.a quick cheap fix. Only had 1 die on me. It was my strictly wet vac and the float stuck and water got in the Motor. Still starts, just squeals and smells
  3. Really good deal here if you need some new hand tools. I'm not a fan of the strippers or Phillips head screwdriver. But still a deal. http://m.homedepot.com/p/Klein-Tools-6-Piece-Electrician-Tool-and-Test-Kit-92500/204643935

    Dewalt tote

I would like one of those totes for my cordless collections my current tote can't hold my daily use cordless tools and batteries. Where did you get this? Anyone have a link to where I can find one of these?
  5. I have been using an 895 for 3+ years. I've tried most other impacts and feel it is superior in many ways to others. I have a fuel impact and also the normal dewalt brushless. I always go to the 895.
  6. Ground always up for me. If you check the nema configuration it always shows the ground up. Also if something metal falls against the wall, better chance it will not short out.
  7. Nice work. I also like deft laquers. I use to order them, now my lowes stocks them. I don't own a sprayer, but I have achieved excellent results with the spray cans and quarts put on with a brush or foam roller.
  8. I put in a gas 95%+ tankless a few years back. Fairly simple install and works fine. I'm Noticed a big savings in my utility bill compared to my old 80gal electric. One reasons why the water may take 5 minutes to reach your shower is; they may have ran a 3/4" hot water line up to the bathroom. That is a lot more water then a 1/2" line that you often see. Especially with a low flow head, it takes time to clear out all that hot water.
  9. it was a craftsman corded 3/8 variable speed reverse-able drill. I still have it somewhere. Soon after i bought a cheapy craftsman 7 1/4 circular saw. I was probably in 4th or 5th grade

    Sprinter?

NER, I never thought i'd be a van guy, I love my GM full size pick ups. after getting my first utility body (GMC 3500 SRW sierra) I learned to love being more organized, and having everything on me at all times (tools and materials) . Prior to that i just had the ext cab filled with tools. I bought an enclosed trailer, but i hate driving around with it. It typically stays parked at an exterior job or at my shop for storage. When on single projects the trucks work well for me, but as my business grows i let the guys take the trucks to the site, and i bounce from job to job with the sprinter. So far so good. Rainy days, are what had me looking for a van. i hated loading and unloading trucks at night, and always worried about cargo getting wet. Once i started looking, i realized i needed a service body van, then i came across the sprinters.

    Sprinter?

A Mercedes 2.1 L 4cyl turbo diesel with a 7 speed auto trans. I believe it is also offered in some Benz cars SUVs Really is an impressive motor/ trans. The gearing is really close and shifts quick and smooth.
  12. another issue is the top step. the first step heading down off the landing should be approx 7" down. They made the first step flush with the landing. look at the stairs in the distance to see the difference. He moved the railings up to keep the proper height above the tread.

    Sprinter?

It is 11,xxx gvwr. thanks for the heads up, most are not aware of the DOT regulations. I have a DOT #, medical card, etc. PITA, but i already have it for the GMC 3500.\ i believe it is 17,000 gcvw. I dont plan to tow with it ever, still surprising that the little engine can move that kind of weight.
  14. you guys are killing me. with all these deals great price, i picked one up. also they have dewalt fat max (Beast) 25' tapes for $20 grabbed one of those and a bunch of carhartt gear for the guys. with shipping cost, i figured i may as well add some more items
  15. i have always used bosch Titainium p2 bits 1" they rarely snap off and last a while. Lowes stopped carrying them, but i loaded up on them from amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-TDP2108-Titanium-Phillip-Screwdriver/dp/B00A43UERM

    Sprinter?

i went ahead a few weeks ago and got a left over 2014 sprinter 3500 cut away with the morgon olson UCV service body. after a few weeks of driving it, i really like it. it has more then enough power, you would never know it is a 4cyl. I put about 25,000 miles/yr on my truck, so this should be a huge fuel savings for me, and allow me to carry more tools and materials. it is a little louder then my GMC's and not quite as comfortable, but the storage space makes up for it. I bough a bunch of Tstak boxes for it, which fit perfectly in the side bins. This vehicle will be very organized and hold everything i need. here is what it looks like http://morganolson.com/products/ucv-ultimate-contractors-vehicle/ the first 3 tanks of fuel i am getting 19-20mpg's. Much better then my 3500 GMC sierra 4x4 which gets 11mpg. anyone else have a sprinter? how do you like it, or what do you not like about it?
  17. I went ahead and bought one. I always need batteries and chargers. If that is worth $100 I cant turn down a mailer form149. I'm excited to use it, come spring I have a few large projects where it will get put to the test.
  18. I was going to post this as well. I don't need it at the moment, but have said in the past I will buy one the next wood framing job I have. Is this the newest version? I am probably going to buy tonight
  19. Definitely a handy tool to go with a table saw. I never liked using a miter gauge.
  20. Excited for some real world reviews on this gun I got a compact charger with my drywall gun. I had a 5.0 in it and after 30mins both battery and charger were red hot. I Don't understand why they would make this
  21. I didn't realize milwaukee was also 1yr wear and tear. I thought it was 5yrs. Thanks. Glad I got it working again. This saw has seen a lot of action. I'm glad it still has some life left in it. Hopefully it holds up until an updated version comes out.
  22. Good news. I took the saw apart tonight. It was a simple fix The black wire that connects to the battery was burn up and no longer connected to the battery. I replaced the wire and connector and seems to work fine now. I think it burnt up from excessive use and abuse. I did smell burning, must have just been the insulation of the wire burning.
  23. I sent my hammer drill that cane with the same kit almost a year ago and they wouldn't fix it for free. They wanted $140 to repair it. I bought a new brushless for 120.
