  1. I just recently bought a makita 7 1/4" magnesium hypod. It's been great so far. I am located in Utah. When I lived in Illinois I usually used my Bosch sidewinder but had a worm drive as well. I also have a m18 fuel circular saw. I am a welder so don't use circular saws daily. I did go to a vocational program in high school for construction trades. The main saws we used were Milwakee sidewinders but had a little of everything.
  2. Looks like a decent set for electrical.
  3. I probably got 20-30 percent of my original stuff. I have a few reasons for being so little original stuff. A lot i got rid of when I moved out of state, some I sold when I upgraded, a few I lost in a fire, a few got stolen, a few got misplaced by me an a few I broke.
  4. Nice drill there, it's a good one, I love mine.
  5. I have a slight wobble with my gen 2 fuel drill. it doesn't hinder the performance for me. It's a handheld, even if it didn't have a wobble you would probably move around 1/16" during drilling. I mean It's not meant to be a precision Cnc mill. I think If you want a drill for looks yeh go return it but hey it's a tool made to work so shove a bit in an go to town.
  6. Hahaah, Her whole spare bedroom is office supplies, kids books, backpacks, etc etc an what not. She tries to buy stuff cheaply over the current year to be ready for next year. Of course the school supplies some stuff but it's not enough. Almost all her students are below the proverty line to say the least.
  7. I just ordered one pack of each color. I mentioned to my sister today an she ordered 15 red, 15 blue an 20 black. She's a teacher an goes through sharpies like candy. Even after shipping and handling it's cheaper then going to a teaching or office supply. She figures it's a years worth of markers for her an some other teachers. I told her I need a picture when they arrive.

    Hilti TE60

I currently have a hilti te 60 act avr, it's actually my second hilti te 60. When we had a house fire I lost some tools an eventually replaced some. I didn't question weather or not to go with another hilti 60 for a combo hammer. Of the tools lost it was replaced rather quickly. I have drilled 1 1/2 wholes before no issue. When I bought my second one the guy said its recommended to core up to 4". I myself have only ever done 3 9/16" as the biggest core I have done. I could see it doing more then 4" if needed but i have never done it. For chipping it's great as well. Size/weight is well it's a rotary hammer not a 12 volt driver, don't expect to comfortably hold it all day everyday. It feels good in the hands for what it is, but again it's not a 12 volt driver. Vibration is there but very reasonable an less then competitors models I have used. I have yet to use dust extraction with mine but from what I know it has accessories for it avaible. The initial investment with hilti is a lot compared to the compition. However your getting a quality tool. You probably won't replace it every couple months either. There service in support is said to be good even thoe I have yet to need it. So yes it's expensive at first but it's worth it if you depend upon your tools.
  9. Snap on dead blow for ball pein hammers then I have a 16 an 22 ounce estwing hammer. I have some other misc ones as well but not used daily.
  10. Looks similar in concept to a bailiegh industrial power hammer, but with a different die. Either way I would take one.
  11. You shouldn't be disappointed with your new Proto ratchets. I own a lot of Proto an Armstrong tools an love them. Their pricy but quality tools.
  12. I got a laptop yesterday from work. I figured it would be a beat up used thing. It is actually a brand new dell latitude rugged 14 series laptop. I know it has a few upgrades/options. The IT guy went over it an I was lost in the technical stuff. I was sort of thinking dude ime not trying to design a rocket ship, just the basics will do. He was telling me it's not geared towards what ime using it for but does it. He also told me it cost 3200 so don't break it. My thought was really what do I need that overpriced fancy thing for. I mean ime thankful I work for a company who provides proper tools.
  13. I use to be really good about wiping hand tools down an all that. Now days I ain't to good about it. Every now an then I go through an organize an clean my tools if needed. For hand tools I just use a rag with wd40. My engine driven welder isn't cosmetically clean but it's taken care of mechanically. I use my tools, an use them well. They get dirty, especially when working onsite out of your truck.
  14. Welcome from Utah. You sure will like it here
  15. Man that's sweet. I am always amazed by what can be made with cnc equitment.
  16. Haha, I feel bad for the Honda. I do respect the fact your marking do thoe with what yout got. I use to work with a guy who thought he should get unemployment cause he couldn't transport his tools. His daily driver was a 6 month old Dodge Charger with all sorts of aftermarket upgrades an he was still adding more. The guys car was just to good to get dirty.
  17. Honestly if your in bussniess go with at least a f150 or comproable. Maybe even look at a cargo van. I would go bigger then that even. The ability to haul materials an tools is a must if you want to be serious in bussniess. I don't see the ability to haul fruniture/cabinets in a Tacoma an still have room to grow.
  18. before I moved across country I had a whole stack of cases in the shed. I kept a few when I moved but for the most part didn't keep any. When I had my garage/moving sale I put the tool specific cases in a pile of free stuff. The cases like the dewalt tough box or similar I sold cheap. Hard cases take to much space for just one tool. I work out of my truck I just don't have enough room.
  19. I would try contacting your local reps an see if they can do any deal or promo or whatever. Maybe even your local tool store can help. When I went to a construction trades vocational program in high school they got tools all the time from manufactures an the local tool store. We literally got new cordless stuff almost every quarter. Millwakee an makita were big ones but we had a little of every brand. The instructor let us take home what we wanted, if they were throwing stuff away. I got some good stuff some of witch I still have. Its my opionon it was sort of wasteful but whatever.
  20. I wonder if he saved any money for drawer liners.
  21. Yes sir, an the charger. Initially passed the deal but ended up ordering one just now.
  22. Well I broke down an bought one, I got the tripod model, can't wait for it to arrive.
