  1. The whole thing head can rotate. I had one similar when I lived in Chicago. There a beast of a saw. No longer common but if you have space I think there great.
  2. Thanks. It's great for what we need. Gets the yard stuff out of the garage.
  3. I don't know why they were upside down either. Luckily jbw55 fixed that an attached them right side up. It's just for a push mower an a few other things, if we had a rider we would of went bigger. The previous home owner had the slab for a camper. Slabs almost 35 feet long, and has electrical hookup outside.
  4. Thanks for flipping the pictures, not sure what i did. LOL I think personally think we should install vents but my dad wants to wait to see how it is. I have a feeling they will be put in. This shed is also made by tough shed. Normally they build on site but we bought the display. It was much cheaper for a almost new shed. Only downside is its paint color was already done but we really don't care about that, we can change that if we trually wanted to. Personally I would of liked to see 16" wall framing an more then just 1/2 osb for the floor. However it meets our needs. It's just for a few things to keep out of the garage.
  5. Parents wanted a shed for a lawnmower an some misc yard stuff. I was willing to build one but they went an got a small 8x12. It probably would of been nicer an better built if I built it but this isn't bad for what they need. It was a display so it was also discounted. I am just gonna add in shelves sometime soon. The concrete is sloped if you notice. They put a shim the whole length of the shed in.
  6. That's what I had till a couple years ago. My brother is in law enforcement an carried a stream light. I always said ahh no lights worth that much when my mag lite does the job. Once he gave me his old one when he bought a new streem light one my mind was changed. I never realized the difference a good light makes. Since then I've been hooked on stream light.
  7. I used there die grinder. It's the biggest piece of crap ever. I thought the biggest problem was lack of power. With that thoe the thing only cost me 20 bucks. I could of bought like 5 cambell huasfeld grinders for the price of my ingersoll rand.
  8. I would just look at craigslist. You a lot of craftsman 10" radial arm saws often. I had a dewalt radial arm saw with a 14"' blade. The thing was massive but worked well.
  9. Looks good. Count me in please
  10. Sorry to here that man. As others said tools are tools, family is what matters. I hope all is well for your daughter.
  11. I don't think it's a good trade on your part. If the dewalt saw is really beat up then maybe it is. I would just keep the dewalt as a back up.
  12. I have 3 stream light stingers an 2 fire boxes. Not sure the exact model but there the led ones. I also have a stream light pen light. There great lights. Keep one in my room an the rest in my truck. There up for whatever I throw at them
  13. I have the Bosch 12 volt cordless version, from when they first came out. It is the manual blade change with a hex key. I can't speak to the corded version but their cordless version is great.
  14. It's the best tool deal I've ever got. I almost wonder if it was a mistake on lowes end somehow.
  15. Thanks guys an I sold the other two for 800. I pretty much made out with a free dws780 an then some more money. I was hoping posting here would help someone else in the crew get the deal.
  16. Thanks guys an it deffintly was a steal of a deal. As jbw55 said it deffintly was right place at right time. Just played with the saw for a few minutes. I had treated 4x4 post in the garage an some, treated fence pickets, 1x12 pine and more of that particle board in the picture. It cut all very well an acurately. Before I moved to Utah I had a Bosch 10" miter saw but it wasn't sliding. For home I had a giant old dewalt radial arm saw. Both were great, but now I need something taking less space then the radial arm but more capacity then just a standard miter saw. I wouldn't mind a big radial arm saw but no room. Realistically I can do everything I need on this Dewalt. I am very pleased am so far love the saw. Looking for many years of usel
  17. I posted them locally for 425 each. Within a hour I got a call from a guy saying he will give 700 for both. I told him 800 cash no lower an I can meet tonight. I think it's a good deal for two in box unopened saws. I mean new at store would be 1200 plus tax. I will see how it goes tonight. I really didn't expect someone to call so soon.
  18. Thanks Chris, an It deffintly is awesome. I have no idea how lowes works or if it was put online or what. It could be just my lowes in Utah or there clearing out all. At first I thought it was wrong. They rang up 179 an off I went
  19. I was planning on getting the Bosch 12" dual bevel sliding miter saw. No rush so just didn't get it yet. I usually don't shop lowes, however was there. Seen three dewalt dsw780 being put out on clearance. Couldn't resist picking up all three. I am keeping one an put two online locally. Within a hour I got a call from a guy saying he would take both. Meeting him tonight, hopefully it works out. I wanted the Bosch but for the massive savings this saw is fine. Its just gonna be for around the house work an probably some flooring eventually. My luck usually isn't this good. Today is a good day
  20. I just picked up a dewalt 12" sliding compound saw for 179 at lowes, normal price is 599. I was there an saw them being put on clearance an got all three. I haven't checked other lowes but you can check. Not sure why it was discounted that much.
  21. That sucks man, we had that problem at job were I use to work. Just the other day I welded up a security cage for a construction trailers ac unit. Guy said he's had three stolen in short timeframe. He finally decided to pay a little extra an have a metal cage made.
  22. It's deffintly possible to make your own. However is it worth it? if you like the idea of the project thoe go for it. I just have a feeling the cost of slides, casters, an wood or metal would not be far off from the cost of buying a new one. Then how much do you value your own time at?
  23. That's pretty good. I would like mine but most of my work is metalworking. A lot of grinding an welding. I am pretty much mobile out of my truck so I just have a plate over my tailgate. It would be nice to have a table like that.
  24. I hate saying this but the millwakee was horrible in comparison to the Makita. I still won't be trading in my millwakee first generation fuel thoe.
