  1. Thank you Chris. It always hurts less knowing there are people that are thankful for our fallen servicemen and women.
  2. I have pretty much all my grandpas hand tools cause none of the grandkids were interested. A few went to his kids but they weren't to interested either. There all special to me an I use some of them daily. Most importantly it's not necisarly a tool but I have my uncles truck. He fell in Afghanistan. He had no kids of his own but was like a second dad to me. His wife wanted me to have it. I drive it every day with a picture of him in the cab an a few patriotic bumper stickers on the tailgate.
  3. I don't think stihl has any competition with worx.

    Grinder

I have two m18 fuel grinders an a m18 regular grinder(that needs repair) an the fuel grinders have 5" guards that fit them. As far as weather a wheel will work or not if it doesn't fit the guard an spindle or exceeds max rpm don't use the wheel. Grinders are under estimated in the amount of damage they can do.
  5. I personally am a huge millwakee fan. I got a lot of m18 fuel some m12 fuel an a army of grinders, 2 portable bandsaws, chop saw, corded drills, sawzall, metal cutting circlular saw, Nowadays most of my needs are metalworking. If I needed a jig saw, miter saw or router or even a cordless nailer dewalt would be my choice. Millwakee doesn't make the cordless nailers nor do they do tablesaws. I have used there jigsaws am wasn't impressed. At the same time millwakee has a lot for electricians an plumbers that dewalt doesn't offer.
  6. Welcome an thanks for sharing. Deffintly loving the millwakee you got.
  7. In trade school everyone laughed about a tool shouldn't be pink. Few days later I started marking all my hand tools with bright pink spray paint. I could see them across the room an no one wanted them. To this day I keep the color pink. My power tools I keep the serial numbers writen down an have pictures on my phone of all. I also spray a pink dot on them. When the paint wears down weather it be hand or power tool I just add more.
  8. Of the ones you listed I would say the dewalt is your best option. Have you considered the millwake m12 fuel line? depending your uses it might work better. I am a big millwakee fan but don't see anything good about the m4. Honestly if they stopped selling it tomorrow I wouldn't care an probably not notice. There m12 fuel line is great but it's a little bigger then what you are listing. The dewalt is nice with its variable speed an pivioting handle type deal. I also think dewalt is more up to date with there line then the competing millwakee. I have no experience with the hitatchi. I haven't heard good or bad about that model hitatchi.
  9. That's messed up, hope you get your money back. I also liked your post over on cpo Facebook post, with any luck they will realize people are paying attention.
  10. It's a nice looking box. I have seen a lot of white powder coated boxes rusting an causing sounding paint to have rust colorist stains in it.
  11. I got several corded an two cordless. It's a lot easier having different grinders for different wheels. I can't stand switching out wheels mid way through a project.
  12. Nah not a whole drawer, maybe a drawer liner he can afford thoe. Even there drawer liners are expensive.
  13. Miller xr alluma pro feeder an gun. That would be in the area of about 5k.
  14. My hats off to you sir I just started a few years ago in welding. No veteran pipeliner but i can pass a bend test an have just several AWS certifications. Hoping one day down the road I can say I've done 5000 miles of 7018
  15. I will be suprised if they can take on ingersoll rand. Even snap on has good air tools but a somewhat limited selection. I would give them a try but I am skeptical.
  16. As a full time welder I wouldn't be caught with one of those ever. Stick will miller, Lincoln or even esab for welders an you should be good. Hobart for your light duty will do as well. I would say those are sort of the harbor freight level welders. They get your weekend guy working at low duty cycles low amps an limited adjustablity. They break an you throw them away. The price point you can't beat.
  17. It's a good deal if you just need three for light work. I myself don't care for Diablo disks an grinding wheels. I usually pick up metabo, radnor, 3m, weiler, or flexovit grinding wheels an flap disks when I see them on sale at Airgas. They have 50 packs that go on sale time to time. They also have a much better better selection of metalworking supplies at airgas.
  18. Klein an millwakee have backpacks. I don't see it on there site anymore but McGuire Nicholas had a briefcase with room for a laptop an tools. I used it when I was in a vocational program in high school.
  19. I got 4 pelican cases. 1 case has two shotguns, the other has a rifle, third case holds all sorts of accessories for them an the fourth case holds my camera an laptop . Best cases ever. I would love pelican cases for my tools, that would just be sweet. I know they make a tool chest that Armstrong sells kits in as well. Cabelas an bass pro shops both have cases that are similar to pelican but not the high price tag. They seem decent in quality an would probably do.
  20. Very nice tools I myself don't have many Irwin tools but there not bad.
  21. Millwakee fuel mag drill. Realistically I would probably get a corded one but I can dream.
  22. I like my Proto wrenches. I also have a full set of older jh Williams. Below is a pic I just found one day an saved, can't remember were. I just found it funny.
  23. I think the mega toolboxes are just a waste of money for your individual average mecnhic. Chances are it's a race team or aviation shop with foam fitted drawers to control fod or some other commercial or industrial application. Either way it's one expensive box. If your spending 50k on a box just imigane what your paying for the tools inside.
  24. The dewalt looks good. I run both the fuel 3/8 an 1/2 impact. If I wasn't married to the m18 line i would of gave the new dewalt impact a consideration.
