  1. I've saw the millwakee graphics like that on a few f150s. Not sure if millwakee is exclusive with ford but it's all I've ever seen.
  2. Before we had a house fire I had every tool manual, an warranty info an every hardware store reciept in two different portable file folder things. I also had a binder for just the welding supply's an three different steel yard receipts. I had pictures on my ipad of tools as well, that also got destroyed. Now I am in the habit of throwing them somewhere in my truck. I really gotta improve. I do have pictures of my tools on phone an iPad for insurance, praying there never needed again.
  3. I gotta be honest... I hear all this talk about batteries an think man if that's how batteries are suppose to be treated I might just be considered a battery abuser. I have 13 millwakee lithium ion 18 volt batteries in a few different sizes. Some are left on the Chargers mounted in my truck some are in my bedroom. And the rest are well wherever they end up getting charged. They usually get a full charge an left in my truck when charged. Winter cold or summer heat there in the backseat ready to go as needed. Real world tough, now that's millwakee for yeh. Am I now considered a battery abuser?
  4. Currently I got a 08 Silverado 3500 hd 4x4 srw duramax. I am pretty happy with it. I have more of sentimental value attached to her cause it was my uncles an he's no longer here. With that said I would pass on a new car an keep my his truck going.
  5. I've got a bunch of single chargers. A multi bay charger would be nice but not needed. Ive got two single chargers mounted in my truck an then the rest in my bedroom lol.
  6. Glad to hear your ok. All to often I think people underestimate the dangers of farm equitment, even the small utility tractors. I am glad you didn't put it to the test but good job having the rops up.
  7. 08 Silverado 3500 hd 4x4. She did it no problems. She just got done snow plowing for 6 hours to. He wasn't stuck bad like in a ditch but enough he wasn't going anywhere on his own. Cop car was a Dodge Charger an the snow was up to the bottom. Building was just built an wasn't being used yet, so lot didn't get plowed that winter. Cops would pull in there behind a fence all the time an radar oncoming traffic but ime not sure why he pulled in if the lot was covered in snow.
  8. Sorta sounds like a deal you find on Craigslist. I could see it now Buy this, it retails for over 100,000 new. Deal is today only. 350 cash an it's yours.
  9. Thanks for input guys. It's all well apreaciated. I don't drive like a maniac but don't drive like a 80 year old man. I do keep a lot of weight in the back of my truck with my welder an all other tools that stay in back, then front weight of a snowplow at times. Ime sure my suspension loves me. I already planned on alignment an always balance tires..
  10. Welcome to the forum. If I was you I wouldn't play around with propane tanks as air tanks. Also old air compresser tanks can be a danger as well depending on tank condition. Lots of time rust builds up from condensation that didn't get drained. Protoolnut really described why not to do it well. Have you looked at buying a new air storage tank?

    Tires

well guys, Ime close to needing some new tires. I was wondering if anyone has input on a what to go with or stay away from. Nothing I will be buying today but within the next month. There going on my 2008 Chevy Silverado 3500 hd 4x4 srw. Tire size is Lt265/70r17/e. It's my daily driver, work, snowplow an used occasionaly for towing. Ime open to anything really. Currently I've been looking at the good year wrangler duratrac. Any suggestion?
  12. Once when I was living in Chicago I pulled a cop car out of the snow. There was a parking lot right up off the street where we live. I was coming home from work at 330 in the morning. I get out of my truck at home and hear a car just revving it's engine. I am like what in the world. I look up the street an see a cars headlights facing the wrong way. I drive up there not realizing it was a cop. I just sorta look an like need help. He was pissed off at himself an didn't want his fellow officers to find out. Few minutes later an a two strap he was out of the parking lot.
  13. great deal for your weekend guy running a trim nailed. Deffinitly not gonna be running much off it. Doesn't even have 1 cfm an 40 psi. But for fifty bucks you can't beat it.
  14. Did a real quick an easy side job. Had to fix a cylinder mount on a skid steers grapple bucket. The bracket were the left hydraulic cylinder mounts broke off. Just had to weld the mount back. I also added gussets to both left an right side cylinder mounts so it won't happen again. It was all stick welded with 7018. Tools used were a miller trailblazer 325 diesel, millwakee angle grinders, and Milwaukee portable bandsaw.
  15. There great, all around i think. Fits well in my hand an easy to get a firm grip. Of everything they have came in contact no corrosion or rust problems. No problem with shanks spinning in handle either. Also there made in USA.
  16. I was at lowes today an noticed some dewalt brand die grinders. Anyone have one or have comments on one? Just looking at it I don't think it would compete with my ingersoll rand, but I could be wrong.
  17. Nothing beats a Milwaukee sawzall. There I destructible. Ime not a makita fan but it looks nice as well.
  18. Nice setup. I can't wait to have a shop of my own.
  19. cheap screwdrivers drive me insane, especially dollar store or harbor freight ones. I was given a set of proto duratek screwdrivers an absolutely love them. I prefer them over my friends snappy drivers. I really want to get the matching set of nut drivers as well.
  20. Very nice work. I used to work for a solar enegery company. I just did basic fabrication of racks an mounts. I never did much plumbing but talked around with the install guys. They loved there two pro presses. i messed around with it before an it is a cool tool. I wouldn't mind having one, but like others I can't justify the cost for my use.
  21. It's nice, just to fancy for me. Where would I park a rusty car when i bring one home occasionally?
  22. I literally just moved to Utah this month. I use to live in Illinois, suburbs of Chicago. It's not as bad as Louisiana, I lived there for a couple years an the humidity was awful.
  23. Humidity is a killer. Especially working out of my truck the past several months everything seems to rust faster then they did last year in a heated an cooled garage. The biggest problem with humidity for me isn't my hand tools as much as keeping air dry an moisture free for my plasma cutter.
  24. Man it's a start. Give it time an you will acquire more. Now days I work out of my truck, an a few saw horses. I myself was lucky enough to get a lot of hand tools from my grandfather. Most of my hand tools I bought are bought used. I bartered for a lot to. I still barter my work for tools when I can. Power tools are about the only thing I try to buy new. My welder I make payments on, an it ain't cheap. When we had a house fire the only thing that survived was the garage. Between work an side jobs I did 18 hours a day seven days a week. Still I work a lot trying to catch up. My tools are basically my way of life.
