That's a real bummer, it's going to be interesting if others start posting about this. I am in the market for another nailer, was going to get air powered like my other one, but the battery powered ones are looking very tempting.

The specs for the big boy were listed before it was released on HD's website. So I'm extrapolating.
Ok ok, cool - I never looked at the other ones, since I don't have a need for them. Your right, it's odd that they didn't list the specs on this one.

One can get lost in watching these videos, and what's cool is you don't get the lame voice overs like the ones on a TV show. Appreciate you posting, but you owe me an hour of life LOL J/K

It arrived 2 weeks early. I'm assembling it slowly, even still I had a few mix up. Nothing that can't be fixed. Was missing and had a few damaged parts, still waiting for those. I have not messed with the computer end yet, other than installing v carve pro and universal g code sender.so far nothing to hard, just slow going. I think shipping is out ragious, I've paid less for larger items. Shipping was over $200.
I been hearing this more and more, that folks are receiving their machines with defect and/or missing parts. I been doing a lot of research on other machines, and I don't think I will be buying an x-carve, but another brand instead. There are some excellent discussions on the router forums.

There is an event in my neck of the woods on 9/3 - I might stop by, looking on the map, it appears to be at a strip mall. There isn't a hardware store there, just a window store.

how much were those? Did you get these on an incredible deal?

Bed is looking ACES! Looking forward to the next update!

Thats Awesome! I been meaning to add one of those B&D Mouse Sanders to my arsenal of sanders.

No speed or CFM ratings...must be pretty pitiful. I'll stick with the big boy, works great.
Has it been officially released yet? I am wondering if the specs will be listed once it hits the shelves? I will definitely be picking one up for the workshop, to replace the good ol' manual workbench brush and broom. When I post my plans for my floor dust collection system, it will make more sense LOL.

That first informercial would not have been complete, without a guy in a Dale Earnhardt Jr hat. LOL - also, when they state all these tools exceed $600, I was thinking sure, or just one Festool extension cord LOL

I missed what actually happened, but happy your recovering. Honestly, Im always a little afraid every time I fire up my power cutting tools.

Good Day Crew!
I am looking for some recommendations for a log splitting axe. It's just for home use, I will only be splitting a few cords a year.
Thank You in Advance,

Lol, you took that or found the photo? All they need to add is condoms and a bachelor can one stop shop
I honestly can't remember where it come from, I have a folder that I use for staging photos, before moving them to my main iPhotos/Photos library for processing.

My tallest tower climb was my friends Ham Radio tower, that was only 150 Feet, and I was freaking out. LOL

Yeah well Wigwag, I care, and it was nice to see your periscope today showing him in a good light. Now I know he's a cool kid, the hat says it all lol. Thanks for keeping us updated. And I know it may not seem like it right now when life is testing you such as it is, but you do have friends here at TIA, especially me.
Thanks Man! It was awesome today, we went browsing around the tool stores today. We were browsing around for some projects to do together. Brandon wants some shelve cubbies put up on his walls above his bed. He is so excited to get back working on his walking sticks. And to top it all off, my grandson is spending a few days with Pappy.

This is one of my favorite sauce to use on my pulled pork sandwiches. This is an after it's cooked sauce, meaning you put it on the meat once its on the bun.
You can easily double or triple the amounts for a bigger batch.
1 Cup - White Vinegar
1 Cup - Cider Vinegar
1 Tablespoon - Brown Sugar (I use dark brown)
1 Tablespoon - Cayenne Pepper
1 Tablespoon - Pepper Sauce (like Tabasco - I use Skyline Hot Pepper Sauce)
1 Tablespoon - Red Pepper Flakes
1 Teaspoon - Fresh Ground Black Pepper
1 Teaspoon - Sea Salt
It's best to make this a few days in advance so all the ingredients "get happy" - be sure to keep refrigarated
ALSO NOTE: It's always best to use fresh spices, stuff like Cayenne Pepper that has been sitting in your pantry for 10 years will affect the taste greatly. I buy my spices in small quintiles, at a local specialty grocery, but you can also buy them online.

I was debating back and forth, and even posted/asked if I should post pictures. No one really replied one way or another, so here are 2 photos. The 1st one was after the first surgery, and the second one is when he had to go back for the second time.
We are so thankful for all the well wishes and prayers from the TIA crew, and that Dan made a sign on his CNC for our workshop. Brandon has been dabbling in making walking sticks, and I been encouraging him to take it to the next level. I really enjoy the time we spend together in the workshop, has he feels comfortable to talk about stuff he is going through, being a teenage boy. Anyone who has kids that are teenagers, you might know how hard that can be for them to open up to you.
If you are offended by the pictures, please let me know and I will remove them

My old Weller is still kicking after 20+ years, the temperature is determined by which tips you use. I found a guy that sells various tips for $4 each, and only charges standard USPS letter rates. The blue handle tool that is in the picture is a titanium pointer tool, that is used to hold parts, titanium is used, because it does not corrode.

I work in an office, (although I work 95% at home now) but I wear Allen Edmonds, they a made in my home state of Wisconsin, and they treat their workers like family. Have a look at their Wiki page, wish more companies where like this.

I think there is a guy around my parts doing this - He has a bunch of those (now discontinued) DeWalt Mechanics sets - the 156 and 204 piece ones on Craigslist, along with the 10 piece wrench set. I was wondering how he has so many of them, my co-worker bought a set from the guy, and yup, they are legit DeWalt tools. We thought he must have stole them, but I don't think anyone is that stupid to put that many ads on a selling site. He actually shows a picture that he has over 15 sets of them in the ad.
