  1. Anyone have one? Do you like it? Is the lack of a plunge base a problem? I'm trying to decide between the Ridgid, Dewalt and Makita compact routers. Ridgid - Least expensive @ $99, comes with a light, edge guide and LSA. No plunge base and no dust extraction accessory. Dewalt - Comes with a light and has every possible accessory. Most expensive even during the $20 off $100 sales that are going on. Makita - Has a lot of accessory options, can get for $115 during the promotion. No light.
  2. So the deal is back on at AcmeTool. Given your experience, would you buy the same tool or the dewalt router set for a little more?

Must be some new nailers coming.
  4. I haven't had a problem yet. There were some that did require me to mail in copies of my receipts, but everything I have has been covered. Did you buy the palm screw gun new from home depot?
  5. Amazon is also doing the Bosch $20 off $100 cordless tool orders http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=gbps_tit_s-3_8062_fc20d988?ie=UTF8&node=12652528011&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=2449568062&pf_rd_s=slot-3&pf_rd_t=701&pf_rd_i=gb_main&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1S1EBHRMXGR03P8F1D9K which includes the 12v barrel grip jig saw which brings the price down to $89 http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-JS120BN-12-volt-Cordless-Exact-Fit/dp/B00OKGAEYM/ref=lp_12652528011_1_5?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1462981574&sr=1-5
  6. There is truth here.Never call. And don't buy steep discounts online without looking first. There was one that I couldn't find in store even though there was one in stock. With the online order, they found it when I couldn't.
  7. The bosch 18v 3 Ah battery 2 pack is down to $59 in a lot of areas if still in stock. http://www.lowes.com/pd_756532-353-BAT619G-2P_0__?productId=999921628&Ntt=
  8. Saw the smaller one at my local home depot. $599

Seems like the battery alone is worth that.
  10. Yeah. The reviews are off though. It shows 8 reviews, most of which are from the last radio. They should fix that.

It's the X4 and not a bad price with those batteries, but the gen5x is a huge improvement. The non-brushless, though it comes with smaller batteries is a much better set.
  12. RIDGID introduces the GEN5X Jobsite Radio with Bluetooth Wireless Technology. This radio comes with great features to help you rock out on the jobsite. The RIDGID Radio App is what separates this radio from the competition. The Radio App keeps and changes preset stations, controls bass and treble settings, checks RIDGID battery life, records preset voice alarms, and more. If I didn't already own their last radio, I'd get this one. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-GEN5X-18-Volt-Jobsite-Radio-with-Bluetooth-Wireless-Technology-R84087/206892707

So, it kind of evolved. I used to work at Target. And they shared with us that the most commonly searched term related to shopping was Black Friday. Even when Black Friday wasn't close. People just equated Black Friday with the best deal they could get. Should I shop now or wait for Black Friday. People weren't buying close out or spring cleaning or clearance because Black Friday was when the sales were the best. So they decided that they needed to find ways to use the term more often to drive traffic to their sales. So they started correlating a lot of non-holiday related sales to Black Friday. If there wasn't a Presidents' Day or July 4th or Labor Day to bring a sale, they would drop Black Friday into the discussion. "Lower prices than Black Friday". Black Friday in spring. This weekend with Black Friday Savings. Which all stinks because Black Friday isn't as good as Black Friday used to be. Now it is just the biggest sale of the season.
  14. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-JobMax-18-Volt-Tool-Free-Multi-Tool-Head-Tool-Only-R8223406B/206189943 They have the head now. Buy the old body and a new head and keep the old head as a swap/backup
  15. I don't think it is a great deal. Buy this $200+ tool and get half off a <$100 tool. I'm not buying.
  16. I haven't tried the above, but the Ryobi blower has a nice balance to it. I swung by the garden tools and their lineup has expanded a lot since last I looked. If I see a good deal on their stuff, I may jump on it.
  17. I have this one and really like it. I think it was a big step up from the x4 line.
  18. I'll add this to the list of Ridgid 12v to add to what I already have. It looks like it would come in handy, but I already have the bosch 12v impact and right angle impact which get into pretty tight spaces. except that it is not available in my area yet....whew. my wallet takes a sigh of relief
  19. From my similar thread.
