  1. No help here, I've not used Milwaukee's AC/DC charger......another option would be an inverter, many go this route and run directly off the battery to avoid the cig lighter adapter, as they tend to get really hot and fail, also the inverter option allows you to run other 110V things.
  2. Welcome Tony J.....congrats on your HVAC apprenticeship!!

I think that's the older version of the current 500-196-30 model.....nothing wrong with it and still a great caliper, honestly you can't go wrong with any of there calipers. Does it have the certificate of traceability to NIST ??
  4. Those turned out really nice.....gotta love the material cost

    Fluke 117

They have a few others on sale too.....
  8. You have a point there.....however it won't be half off
  9. The better one's are more durable, accurate and will last a long time.....plus everyone knows when you see a milwaukee tool for half price you buy it, no questions asked LOL!!

    Fluke 117

    Good deal on Fluke's 117 meter...... http://www.tequipment.net/Fluke117.html?idevd=f1d73e45a4554c07b60e7fe457a66e0b&idevm=4fa8b98b9bf949d1b24909b2b4753489&idevmid=751447&utm_source=idevmail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Dinner+and+a+Movie+Promotions
  11. That's certainly better than the US way of doing things.....no more new tools and tax hikes for everyone
  12. Here is a good deal on Milwaukee's laser temp gun..... https://www.toolnut.com/Milwaukee_2266_20_Laser_Temp_Gun_p/2266-20.htm
  13. That's a bummer your friend stuff got destroyed.....as for the bucket truck its time to break out the spiderman suit LOL.
  14. That's the direction I'm leaning towards....I never move the boxes around after there placed so no casters is my best option.
  15. Thanks for the additional info.....When I was figuring the measurements I allowed 5" for the casters, 6.5" is even better, allows me a smidge more clearance. I've had my finger on the buy button for the past hour LOL!
  16. That's awesome, exactly what I needed, much appreciated!!!......The reason for the measurements is my tool shed wall top plate is 68"" from the floor then the pitch starts for the roof and trying to determine how far I can open the canopy. Did some measuring and looks like the canopy top point can open to about 71-72" measuring from the floor.....which is plenty, also was thinking of not installing the wheels as its not moving once placed and this will give me all the room I need. Again really apppreciate the help
  17. JerryNY.....Was wondering if you could confirm a few more measurements. I made a quick drawing, a side view and have measurement from floor to top lid that you provided, thanks for that....but need two more measurements, you'll see in the drawing I have here.....also could you confirm the 15"1/2 inch I have on the right of the drawing. Thanks!
  18. I just notice that too....odd for sure....

Advanced onsite sensor (AOS) electromagnetic inductive sensor for resistance to dirt, oil, and water.....
  20. Both deals are great and both will do what you need them to do. I sort of like the third battery though.....Flip a coin and don't look back
  21. I have still been kicking around what tool box combo I want to replace my Craftmans boxes with, and Home Depot didn't make this easier today, Recieved an email indicating there now available on-line for $798 for both pieces. The Homak 72 inch top and bottom box has a great drawer layout for my needs but $2850 with shipping is the tough one to swallow....If I go the Milwaukee route I'm looking at around $1745 for two complete set which includes shipping and deliverd to my home. The Milwaukee sets will give me 92 inches of storage but the bottom box doesn't have the ideal drawer layout for me, it will work though.......Hmmmmmm I thought I was 100% decided but now its like the carrot and the rabbit thing LOL!!, what to do.....

Not so sure you need to be a pro to like and own nice tools, many here on this forum are not pro's but they choose to spend more on the better stuff.....why did you buy your Dewalt tools and not the stuff at harbor freight?? Spending more money was worth it to me but may not be to others, definately a YMMV thing

My above comment about the ruler was more tongue-in-cheek.....I do understand your point regarding damage to a nice caliper and have a cheapo on hand, appreciate your advise.
