  1. Looks like it's just Teflon lube with maybe some additives. I think my Napa might have it.

I've seen it at a LOT of different stores. You could probably use a number of different lubes to get the job done but there isn't a single other lubricant with as many specific recommendations as Superlube for ratchets, not even close.

It was really impressive what it did for my Williams ratchets. I wish I would have done a baseline so I can show before and after, it's like night and day.

  2. I'd buy a festool cappuccino machine and Bmack that made my morning I can picture someone standing over a printer, cyan? WTF IS CYAN?!?!?

That person is literally me. Also WTF do they make ink out of where it expires, milk? Ugh, I hate printers.

  3. I can't even get my printer to print black/white because I have expired cyan ink, I don't even really know what color cyan is...don't know what witchery cartridges a battery printing printer would need but I'm sure it would cost more than the printer and expire in a month.

  4. Cool that u like them Jimbo I bought mine from a box truck about 5 yrs ago I'm not sure where they were made but I love them.

If it's stamped with a "0" and two "-" one horizontal and one vertical, it's Taiwan. One "0" and one horizontal "-" it's China. Think there are also some without a maker's mark that are also made in China.

These are the nicest ratcheting wrenches I've ever had. You'll see what a great deal it is if you start filling up a wrench holder, killer deal! Thanks for sharing this for the crew!

I can post the differences between the two China/Taiwan wrenches but it's soo minimal that it really didn't come across in pictures. Basically the etching is a little better on the Taiwan and the finish milling on the black portion of the ratcheting end is smoother on the Taiwan.

BTW, if you're having trouble reading the etching in lower light, I used nail polish to cover the size and wiped the excess off with a paper towel. Simple and looks good. I did black but you can do blue/red for the SAE/Metric.

  6. One thing about these is the ratcheting portion seems to have some manufacturing defects. Go through each other the wrenches and put your find in the hole and ratchet it, wiggle it back and forth, if it doesn't move excessively or fall out it's fine. Seems like they have some employees that just forget to put whatever retains the ratcheting portion in the wrench...that is NOT a knock on the wrenches, could even just be a bad batch but I've seen it posted and had a bad one myself(Made in Taiwan). Just worth checking out before you lose your ability to exchange it in store.

BTW, I've been filling out the missing pieces on eBay and Amazon mostly but occasionally Advance Auto parts has discount codes that helps. Sears also stocks 3 sizes that they skipped. All my singles have been made in China.

  7. I know nothing about Chicago Latrobe.  Used drill bits also give me pause...

Almost always "Used - Very Good. Item will come repackaged." means that it was bought and returned or pulled for damaged packaging. I'd be shocked if one of those drill bits touched a drill.

  8. There's some decent Craftsman pouches available for pretty cheap. I use some similar to the Craftsman that I bought on Amazon for my small, lesser used tools in my tool bag(Ex: Forceps, bit ratchet, magnetic pickup wire I fabricated). I have to be organized so those smaller bags are a necessity.

  9. Nice video! Man that black finish sounds smooth! I bet the pearheads would be almost as smooth with some Superlube. I think I'm going to start pricing out some Protos...even though last year I bought Gearwrench and Williams ratchets.

  10. Is it bad that I actually really have the urge to buy a lufkin now? I mean I knew I was susceptible to marketing ploys but didn't know I am this susceptible. It's not even what was said, I just need to know.

I know there are some that swear by them but the cost is not worth it in my opinion. You can better spend your money on other tools, in my opinion.
