Anyone else waiting to see a "Guys, check out my Apex tools tattoo! I got it for 50% off" thread?

I giveaway a lot of old tools when I upgrade. I don't really pay attention to it so I have no idea what the % is but I imagine it's low. Especially since I have all of my Dad's old tools but I don't really use them and certainly will never get rid of them.

I like Stanley. Fatmax for long measures, Stanley levellock for everything else.

Sorry to hear about that man, glad everyone is safe.
Trucks are the new luxury car in the states. Big Cadillac's went away to GMC Denali Pickups and Ford Platinum editions. The nice thing about a pick up is you can load up bulk goods like stone. I used mine to haul the landscaping rock for my front yard. and small boulders I used for decoration. People get covers for their pickup bed, but they are nice to have.
I believe that started with something that had to do with taxes. There was essentially a cost threshold where you'd have to pay a luxury tax on buying a new car, but there was a truck exemption because they could be used as work vehicles. I've heard of this reasoning a ton of times but at the time where these trucks were coming into the market I was too young to think about taxes.
Mix in that story with it just being a large country and a bit of heritage and you get a nation of pickup drivers. Think of the large, spreadout nations, they generally have the need for pickups or utes(El Camino) *see Australia.

Great deal, I'm in for 14 of these.

I don't talk to women that can't cook....lol and you can tell just by the way they order their food at a drive thru....lol
Every girl I've ever dated. I've never known a girl under 30 that can cool more than mac and cheese and maybe spaghetti from a spaghetti sauce jar. Girls these days "Bake" and by bake I mean they get premixed cookie dough and put it in the oven and something don't burn it.

Yeah, I'd get pissed about the fourth time I slammed my shin into the edge and cut that bitch apart.

So it's not used to evacuate a the family's fat gerbil when it gets stuck in the tube?

You know if you cut it in half, it would probably make a couple of useful tools.

Reminds me of that Irwin Vice grip with the knife glued on the side.

Touch to choose between the three I have in mind. Think I'm going with bigmikez

In my experience duty is never(at least I've never heard of it) charged for items coming from Canada to the US. Duty is almost always charged for US to Canada if Fedex or UPS is used. USPS is much less likely but Canada Post is unreliable and slow when taking over a package from USPS.
I've done quite a bit of shipping between Canada and the US; mostly hockey equipment, cigars or rum...now tools.

I'm more of a Hope and Monica kind of guy

That's the good thing about those, it's not a big deal if they break. Seems like you were pushing the limits to where most tools would have failed...Not to say that there's not a lot of Pittsburgh stuff that has steel that is softer than cheese. I swear some of their metal is a gouda/iron alloy.

Just imagine what everyone was thinking when you where patting out the fire
"Umm, guys I think he's lit himself on fire"
"Nah, he's been doing that on every break since he was 13 years old"

While I agree that most Chinese metal is crap, I've seen tons of examples, there are some exceptions where the Chinese are able to source quality steel...but let's not forget that the Wiha/Wera ratchets are made in Taiwan, which is normally produces some very good tools. My issue is that neither are being upfront about where they're being produced.

Those Protos look damn nice

New meaning to the term "Fire-crotch"

Actually it fits real nice on the brush and believe it or not is pretty useful.

Really? Never would have guessed, I'm not a painter but never had a need for that. It does seem useful for other things, so even if you didn't come across the use for paint it would still be useful. Either way, I'm glad you found it useful
-
By the way, I learned something new about the Wiha and Wera ratchets, don't think it makes much of a difference but they're not made in Germany/Czech Republic, but Taiwan. Felo appears to be the only of the big three that makes their ratchet in Germany. Pretty disappointing how they aren't more upfront about it.

It's just rebranded Stanley stuff. The problem is Stanley seems to have different grades of quality and no real way to tell through pictures at least. You might have something comparable to check out at Lowe's or Walmart. Just look at the ratchets really good and if you see they're exactly the same, then you know what you're getting.
I'd say as an occasional use kit and not using it for breaking bolts, you'd be fine. I'd worry about the sockets more than the ratchets for breakage.

Nope, It is a light that clips your paintbrush for those poor lit corners.
I think this is the worst use for the item, all our guess suggestions were better, haha
If it can really bend(not just flex), maybe you can use it to brighten up low light drilling areas also.
What is your go to tape measure?
