I appreciate all the replies.
The saw seems to opperate perfectly. I bought it on ebay for 100 bucks shipped and the unit looks like new.
Ive looked at the exploded diagram and nothing is listed which looks like the spring on the shaft.
Bmack, my blade locking mechanism is working perfect, with spring tension, and this spring im asking about is too large to fit inside the lock...so I dont think it has anything to do with the blade lock assembled incorrectly.
Im just gonna cut it off and run it.
Yeah, I'm thinking it was taken apart and someone saw a spring and thought it went there. The spring looks more like a spring that goes inside a drill for the clutch.

Is the pouch at least somewhat decent? You could probably sharpen the cutters yourself to at least make the stuff usable. Or if it's not too far out of your way you can return it, not sure if the $10 is worth it, especially if you're like me, return something for $10 buy some crap I don't need for $50+

There's a marathon on right now on History Channel.

According to this, if one of these is your model it looks to be assembled incorrectly. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/article/1572/How_to_Change_the_Milwaukee_Sawzall_QUIKLOK_Blade_Clamp_Assembly_.html
I'd go take a look at my sawzall but I've been laid up all week and can't walk to the garage.

Screw the solar generator, I'm waiting for the Solar emulator pack. The entire Sun conveniently packed to fit your m12 tools.

I play an iPod with the heaphones hooked up to my nuts, mostly death metal so the little guys get confused and can't find any eggs to ruin my life.

I kinda want to be assassin now.

I wouldn't recommend Blue Hawk anything, pretty cheaply made stuff. Stuff makes HF look like quality, think that's why Lowe's is replacing the Blue Hawk stuff.

I don't know if I'm over thinking how exactly would I do, run the impact and see if the gears strip or what?

I would expect if it fails it would just slip, essentially re-positioning the selector switch. I don't think it would be a catastrophic failure on any ratchet other than maybe Blue Hawk.
I don't think it will do anything to be honest, I'm worried that if it grabs and holds that it might kick back on you.

Bmack you don't like Star Wars?! I'm not saying I'm Big Bang Theory status but you gotta appreciate the movies
I find it boring and kinda stupid, I don't really like any Sci-fi movies/shows...the recent superhero movies are about the only exception.

I think the CAD was stronger than the USD as recently as 2011 or 2012. Crazy how it fluctuates soo much.
-
I bet those HF ratchets can take it.

Yea Milwaukee deals aren't great, good deals on some dewalt and stuff, I think we started something here lol.

..and if the financial speculators are correct, these deals are going to get better. Almost everyone seems to think the USD is on the rise and the CAD is on the decline.

Fluke 116 meter, for $101.62, that's about $50 off. Seems like it's new but damaged packaging: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000NI69YA/ref=dp_olp_used_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=used&m=A2L77EE7U53NWQ
It is not a 10A fused model, so only microamps. Very good meter.

Is it bad that I've spent about five hours searching and browsing various Canadian tool websites since yesterday? We need to find a hand tools version of that site and another good Milwaukee dealer! I've found some decent deals but none as good as this, everyone else seems to be about as good as US sale prices.

Best wishes man, hope everything works out

That would drive me nuts! Looks like you need to pick up two more ratchets already! hahaha

They also have the set with a ratchet instead of the bit holder screwdriver: http://www.amazon.com/Wiha-71988-Security-Compact-39-Piece/dp/B00EV9MW3E

I really want the Fuel versions of he Hackzall and Drill/driver, I like my non-Fuel versions a lot so naturally I want the upgraded versions. I'd also like the M12 jigsaw. Still haven't decided after returning my malfunctioning M12 oscillating tool whether I want the M12 or M18 oscillating tool.
It's snow people

If it's not snow, it's rain. It doesn't snow in Florida but it rains, hard a lot all year long...still, it's like no one knows how to drive in the rain. At least once during a rain storm you will drive past someone with their hazards on, at least they're letting other drivers know what a hazard of a driver they're dealing with. Rain also seems to get people to cut you off more often, it's bad enough that if I see a car that is at a place where they might join my direction of traffic, I always look for my way out(changing lanes, preparing to slam on the brakes)...and I have to use it about once a rain storm.
