  1. OK, I don't really want to win, so please vote for someone else. However, I really love this video!
  2. Hmmmm...Curiouser and curiouser...
  3. Brake wear indicator gauge?
  4. I have that same Pinner. Haven't used it a lot, but ergos are fantastic. Here's my new ladder.
  5. The switch is a non-issue, in my opinion. Does anyone here who actually uses the 996 have problems with it? Mine was a bit clunky at first, but after a couple days of of solid work with it, smooth like butter.
  6. I'm with you @Bremon, no issues whatsoever with the gear selector on my 996 after breaking it in awhile. If these tools are used as intended, to do actual work, they tend to settle in a bit, imo. Tool tests are fun to watch, but real world experience is where it's at. I imagine any of the top-tier tools would be perfectly acceptable to most, that is as long as they hold up and function as intended. Just my opinion, of course.
  7. Smoke and mirrors, for sure. 996 clearly has the edge in torque, even our resident Mileaukee-lovin'-meat-chopper's video shows that!
  8. Wow, your vids done with iPod touch Jimbo? They look great! Good to know!
  9. Wow, very close! Would liked to have seen a few more holes drilled.
  10. I'd love to do that, but only have my phone to record with . Might be time to invest in a video camera of some type. What do you guys use, Go Pro, Digi cam, video recorder?
  11. Actually, I can only speak to the Milwaukee, haven't seen the Kobalt in action.
  12. Let alone the DCD996, which is more powerful than both.
  13. Received this in a big crate couple days ago. Put it together in fairly short order. Works like a champ, fast cycle time! Yesterday I installed a 4-way wedge. Waiting on a Kat's magnetic block heater to slap under the hydraulic tank. Hope it warms up the AW 46 oil enough for starting on these cccoooolllddd winter days! Probably should have gone with AW 32, but most of my splitting will be done in summer and fall.
  14. Wheel bearing hub installation tool?
  15. I'm mystified. Did it come from outer space?
  16. Yikes, I guess! Run it hard during the warranty I guess? Afaik those who have had bearing issue addressed by Festool have had zero subsequent issues.
  17. While the suction strength certainly impacts performance of a ROS, there is a known issue with these Pro 5 Sanders requiring service and a bearing replacement.
  18. "That'll be $1299 please, cash or credit?" Lol...
