  1. And it's beyond me they haven't made yet a step down transformer from 120V to 60V so you can use your tools corded when you need it. I don't care if it's as big and heavy as the power station, I just want the possibility. It isn't rocket science...
  2. Yeah bummer, I really need a dust extractor. The DWV010 looks like a nice model but it's 2 years old and I'm pretty sure a flexvolt/Bluetooth actuated model is around the corner.

    A good square?

Yes I think it's the best option right now but since it is green and black, you pay double for it. Bosch in my opinion has the greatest system at a good price. If they could only bring it to North America. You can order from UK but it's a pain in the ...

    A good square?

The only Dewalt track saw accessories that are still on the market I think are the clamps (which are great btw) and the router adapter. I know that the track connector has been discontinued and I think it's the same thing for the square and the miter adapter.
  6. The energy is generally expressed in Wh and therefore is independant from the voltage. So if you have 4 3/9ah flexvolt batteries, the available energy would be : 4*9ah*20v = 4*3ah*60v = 720Wh. So you could run a 720 W load for one hour continuously or 1440 W for 30 minutes with these batteries.

    DeWALT

Usually companies have a strict policy on how you may use their branding. Here's Facebook's one for instance :https://en.facebookbrand.com/guidelines/brand You could ask Dewalt for their.
  8. Best screwdrivers I have used by far. Didn't know how shitty my stanley screwdrivers were before trying these ones. They have a set now that comes in a quiver and are color coded. Looks really handy : http://products.wera.de/en/wera_2go_kraftform_2go_300.html By the way, I use one of these quiver to store my screwdrivers. They attach to a wall or a bag via velcro pads. It's part of a new system called wera2go. I've put a strip of velcro on a wall and one on a mobile workbench. This way it's pretty easy to get all my screwdrivers when I'm working outside of my workshop. I just stick them to my table, which is nice because it saves some space. I plan to put one on a ladder as well.
  9. This set is sold 35 CAD (25 USD) around here. Same thing for the multibit screwdriver. I don't know why Wera prices are so high on amazon.
  10. I think the idea is to provide some sort of intranet on construction site like we have in a regular office. Like sharing blueprints, message the guy upstairs, check the tool inventory, see what is done and what still need to be done today, ... This is a lot more ambitious than one key.

  13. Yep really like it too. It's not hard to make a similar system by yourself though.
  14. I'm in Quebec and I often buy online from outils pierre berger and elite tools (they have english websites). Lot of times they are cheaper than Amazon. A good time to buy tools is around father's day and christmas. Lot of promos. Home depot are always the most expensive in my experience. As for staying with Milwaukee or not, it's depend. Do you like DIY or is it just a chore? If you enjoy it, invest in tools you truly want and can afford and keep them for a long time. The way I see it, a DIY has limited time so you don't want to waste your time with tools you don't like. Not that ryobi is bad or anything but you should really try the tool first and think what you want out of it.
  15. The Dewalt also has an anti kick back feature which is great in my opinion and you can cut on both sides of the rail. This is one reason why I went this way. Plus, I read several people saying the TS55 motor is underpowered. I wanted to cut butcher blocks so this was a big concern of mine. The only problem with the Dewalt track is that they are not compatible with most accessories that are made for the Festool tracks (even third parties ones) such as parallel guides because they don't have a small T channel on the side. But I didn't mind because most of them are too expensive for what they are. I plan to build a MFT table clone one of these days with 80-20 or bosch rexroth extrusions. I can't believe they are selling this table 700 USD with no accessories.

    Track Saws

It's depend on the type of work you are planning to do. If you are doing framing/rough construction, you don't care about dust collection most of the time and it will make more sense to get a cordless one. Although I would say the Festool HKC would be a better design than a regular track saw in this case. Hopefully, we are going to see some 'clones' down the road that are a bit less expensive :-) If you are finish guy, I don't see why you would need a cordless one as you'll probably have it hooked up to a shop vac anyway. One caveat though is if you are working on the road. Sometimes there is just one outlet available to plug in your saw and your vacuum and you end up tripping breakers. Cordless can be a nice option in theses cases.
  17. Dewalt should dump their 12v platform and expand their 8v line instead. Would make a lot more sense then having an 8v screwdriver and a 12v laser. Just use 8v for everthing and offer an AA adaptor and let's be done with it.
  18. The 12V line is really great. The only thing I don't like about it is the bulky grip because I have small hands. Dan was having the same problem in a video. This may not be an issue for you but I would try the tools first to see if it's fit you.
  19. I live in Quebec city and there is no mining around here. No I think he lives in Northern BC now but he's not from there. In a video, he said "have you ever heard the sound of northern BC spiders?" (or something like that) and then proceed to burp. Haha :-) This is why we like this guy
  20. I wonder where he is from. Didn't hear any accent when he speaks french. New-Brunswick maybe.
