  1. Wound up getting it. He couldn't find one of the 1.5aH batteries so gave me two 2.0aH batteries instead for $20 more. So $200 total for the brushless impact and drill, the two batteries and charger.
  2. I'm mad at myself for not inventing them.
  3. Anyone know when they're coming out (the ones that are hollow all the way through)? oops...They're already out. Just wasn't looking in the right spot.
  4. Yeah, it's a CL deal. Lives pretty close, so that makes it even more worth it. I currently have five of the 3.0aH batteries and one (just got it today) 2.0aH batteries. So this would give me two 1.5aH batteries. So I'd have eight 20v batteries total. Figured the brushless stuff would be nice to have plus the smaller batteries for the heated jacket. I have two chargers, so a third would be handy, but I'll likely try to sell the charger and my impact with the brush motor.
  5. I like it but I have to agree on the variable speed control. That's a must have for a lot of folks.
  6. It's really nice, Eric. Feels nice, fits great. I'm an XL and it's true to size. Plenty of room for a thermal shirt/t-shirt combo underneath. I haven't put eyes on the Milwaukee, so can't really compare the two.
  7. I have the opportunity to purchase THIS barely used for $180. Mighty tempted. The only 20v drills I have are the right angle and the big heavy hammer drill. Oh and these are brushless. Mine aren't. Was mainly looking to find a lighter drill (non-impact), but this comes with the impact so I'd have a backup. Plus more batteries and another charger.
  8. Yeah, got mine from Amazon.
  9. Not much to say...exhausted from work today, but just thought I'd post up and say it's a very nice jacket. Material feels nice, heats up quickly, looks pretty good for a work jacket. Also ordered a 2.0aH battery but didn't get that yet.
  10. Picked up the Milwaukee 16' tape today and love it. It even sounds cool when you extend it. Very nice tape though, I can see it being my "go-to" and will likely add the 25' one to the arsenal soon.
  11. Worth a read: click .....That being said, I keep both Milwaukee and DeWalt bits on my truck. I do think the DeWalt bits hold up a little better. But, I always reach for the Milwaukee for two reasons: The case is smaller and it has the longer bits. I use mine for fairly easy work though, so my opinion might differ than those who use them extensively.
  12. If this is posted somewhere else, I missed it. Figured it would be nice to see what everyone does, how you use your tools on the job, etc. For now, I'll just post a link to the portfolio on my site which pretty much shows what I do. I use a crap-load of tools in the process. How about you guys?
  13. Thank you. I just rent the lifts...I can't justify the cost of purchasing one yet.
  14. Nothing fancy, but lots of room, quiet and comfortable. It's nice climbing into after a long day. I think I'm about to pull the trigger on a remote start system so I can cool it down (or heat it up) a few minutes before getting into it.
  15. How the heck do you post a picture?
  16. Funny, I was looking for one of these the other day and couldn't find them in the store. wish they would hurry up and get them out. They look like great tapes.
  17. We go through a lot of vehicles. I was a die hard Chevy guy for years, but only used them as a means to get to and from work. Now that I'm self-employed and use it every day to work out of, I went to a Tundra and love it. Here's my old Silverado. When it was slower. Running a buddy of mine. (I'm in the black truck)
  18. I use the current 20v version every week and it's not uncomfortable at all to use, so curious how much the vibration control helps. The current versions also lasts a long time on one 3Ah battery. So my guess is the new one is brushless. That combined with the 4.Ah battery would make a nice little package. I can't see spending the extra to upgrade, but if I were in the market, I suppose it would be in the running.
  19. Yeah, kind of depends what you use it for. I have one and absolutely love it. But I only need it for occasional bolt cutting and other odd jobs. Cut about 10' of tile flooring for a remodel recently and man it cuts like butter.
  20. woohoo! ...kind of wish the pockets were heated though.

    Rant...

Yeah, I've seen those. My complaint is the number of pieces I need to cart around when needing to vacuum while drilling. ....Unless you were linking to another video. If it was the one with the built on vac, that's the 36v which I'm not about to get. Makita has a great solution. The vac runs off the power of the battery being used in the rotary hammer. Turns on when you start drilling and off when you stop drilling. Milwaukee is nice enough to offer a universal solution which is a clever way to lure consumers in to buy other tools in their line. Smart on their part. And same deal - Turns on when you start drilling and off when you stop drilling. DeWalt pretty much forces you to cart around multiple pieces - that's my main complaint. Not to mention having to turn on a vac drill, turn off your vac, turn it on, drill, rinse and repeat.... I know it's still a nice set up compared to what was available years ago, but it's not years ago. DeWalt needs to step it up in my opinion.

    Rant...

Milwaukee has THIS for $200...it fits any SDS rotary hammer. Makita has THIS...but you have to purchase their SDS rotary hammer. Not going to happen. I have the DeWalt 20v SDS Rotary Hammer and the DeWalt Dust Extractor and the DeWalt 20v Vac. All great tools and I'm glad I have them but I really wish DeWalt would come out with a deal similar to the Milwaukee attachment. when on a jobsite, the less stuff you have to haul around and the less trips to the truck, the better. I'm toying with the idea of getting the Milwaukee setup and selling my DeWalt extractor attachment. AS soon as I do, DeWalt will come out with one though. If I had the Milwaukee, they do have some other 12v tools that DeWalt doesn't have. So who knows.......maybe.....
  23. Nice! I don't have a need for the larger, pricey full size one. I wonder what the price will be on this (ToolGuyd says $99). Love the size of it...perfect for a jobsite or small shop.
  24. Old thread, but I'm bored and catching up on old material. I'm not super hard on my boots, but i bought these a few months ago and love them. They're heavy, but I like that they're 'loaded'....steel toe, puncture resistant, water resistant, etc....
  25. Been too busy buying tools! haha...Actually just been swamped with work (and buying tools in the process).
