KnarlyCarl
I thought this was very cool about the forward grip placement. Is anyone anticipating getting this?

If I were in the Makita 12v platform I would definitely grab one. Looks like a nice saw. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

They switched to slide packs to rejuvenate their 12v line with some more professional line tools. They have a few brushless offerings as well. Small line but its still in the beginnings, if its anything like their 18v line I'm sure well see them take Milwaukee head on.

I think this new slide pack 12v lineup so far is a decent offering. If they get a few more tools in the lineup they might be pretty tough. It will be interesting to see how far they push it.
