Fastest 18v Battery Charger?

Tools & Stuff

Recommended Posts

I've got the dual charger for my Makitas with two USBs but I've never timed it. I will say it's awfully quick with the 4.0s I have. Whereas my Dewalt charger is slow as snot. I want to get the dual one. My Festool charger gets the 4.0s charged quickly probably on par with the Makita.

I think Makita says 60 minute charge time on their 6.0 batteries.  If it keeps up with my experience that means probably a 40-50 minutes charge time in reality.  Milwaukee and Bosch recently release rapid chargers too so everyone but Dewalt has one if necessary.

None of these chargers are going to keep up with continuous use of a grinder or chipping with a rotary hammer, but for almost anything else you're not going to be short on batteries and I'm satisfied with that.

I have never cared about charge times. I have enough batteries to go a few days. Fast charge times don't always mean a fully charged battery. It may reach the full voltage but not its full storage capacity.

I'm like regopit, I have enough batteries it usually doesn't affect me. I know my Metabo charges pretty fast. Don't have an official time or anything, but they are quick.
