midogrumpy
Hi, just wanted to start the thread / posting on the SDS Hammer Drill ((should be something like DCH27x)) don´t actually know the model nummer yet, also initially seems to be a Europe thing (again 54V Europe is identical to USA 60Vmax*)
Hugh Jass
As soon as you hear rumors of a price point let me know. Once this hits the states I'm buying as long as it's not ridiculous.
Hugh Jass
Also the product description from Dewalt: Optimised for larger drill bits, the XR FLEXVOLT SDS Plus Hammer Drill is the fastest cordless drilling machine in the 18-30mm range – making it ideal to install anchors on commercial jobsites. The powerful Brushless motor and advanced hammer mechanism deliver a formidable 3.5J of impact energy, and the 9.0AH battery pack will drill 66 fixing holes in cast concrete (18 x 80mm).The 54V Hammer Drill also features integrated dust extraction for added cord free convenience.
midogrumpy
@ Hugh Jass I´m in the USA at least 3x per year West Palm Beach, Fl. next time is 7. October flying to US our suitcases are always empty; once price is known (and it will be higher than in US) I can bring along release in Europe is September 2016 now all we need to know in this forum when approx.release date is in US financially it makes sense to wait for release date cause cheaper, but does not make much sense if release is only 2017 cheers mike

West Palm isn't that far.

Warranty doesn't carry over.
Turner85
Anyway when u see the price you will say no thanks to his offer. I'm seeing pre orders of €250+ on bare tool for recip and grinder. €500+ for kits

Kind of the reason I never try purchase from America or Canada. Warranty doesn't carry over. I think it's dependent on the company. A while back I purchased the Festool HKC55 from Axeminster. I couldn't find the tool in the warranty register and contacted them about it. They had me enter the SN# for the tool under the cordless TSC55 to bypass the tool registry but I was told they would honor warranty on the tool. I think it all depends on what company you are purchasing from?
midogrumpy
clear statement from Dewalt Europe (also in writing and posted) US tools are NOT warranted in Europe ! US tools have UL stamp for warranty the tool is required to have a CE stamp (CE would also include tools from South Africa , UAE (Dubai) 2) now EU tools CE marked in USA not sure !! .... pretty much depends on service center and I know Service Centers in USA have a great customer satisfaction policy all my CE marked tools (but it was very few) were repaired at no cost cheers
AnonymousJoe
So are there 2 different flexvolt sds drills coming soon? U can see in this link it looks like an sds max http://toolcraze.net/dewalt-flexvolt-60v-tools-new-track-saw-blower-chainsaw-rotary-hammer-string-trimmer/
dwain
why do you think there are two?
Kaman
There's definitely some subtle differences between the two pics. The nose pieces, the black trim on the bottom and the grey area where the function switch is.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DaveJr.
Those two SDS's are a european model (54V) and a US model (60V) if you look at the batteries. So I don't think they will have two SDS models for flexvolt coming out at the same time. Eventually maybe but not now.
Hugh Jass
Man the European looks like a way better product. US is getting the toy version.

Hugh Jass
Not sure but the EU has better AVT, better chuck, less plastic, better trigger and lock, and maybe even better ventilation. I am disappoint.

All a matter of perspective. Pretty crappy of Dewalt though.
schalk2585
The model from Europe looks closer to the dch293r2 here in the US than other that is a sds max instead of sds plus
Framer joe
I like my tools and batteries looking cool....as well as...work great and run long....I spend a lot of money on tools.......I wish I was as brilliant as (ford 77 or penny Ricky) to get tools for pennies... jkeating3
The chucks on those two models look different to me. The picture from the flyer looks like the chuck is much bigger to me. Not sure if it makes a difference, but that could indicate two different models; SDS+ and SDS max.
JimboS1ice
Anybody else notice the top model tool itself says 60v max
