Conductor562
@comp56: When I first looked I thought they were tap drills, but now I'm not sure what the hell those even are?
BMack37
It looks like it's a special kind of chip clearing bit. Looks like someone trying to reinvent the wheel, which probably could use reinventing.
dg1127
Yup I have them they can be used as a side cutter similar to a spiral cutting bit expect for a drill. I used them on drywall,foam,1/4" ply, etc. I bought mine from grizzly not sure if they have them anymore Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
dg1127
Also can be used to slot thin gauge metal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jeffmcmillan
For those who don't know, they're supposed to make your drill like a drywall cutout tool for wood. Effectiveness is heavily dependent on the quality of bit which is rarely good. Pretty much useless if you also own a dremel or die grinder or cutout tool or router or jigsaw or reciprocating saw or mill or pretty much anything besides a drill. To answer your question: No I have not used them, but I have tried to use them.

Conductor562
@comp56: Yea, that's what I thought they were, but the pitch looks off and they don't appear to be tapered. Almost looks like a thread chaser rather than a tap. If if this is a whatsit post, I'm stumped without researching it.
