dwasifar
Now this is a cool idea: Anyone have one of these? Does it work as advertised?

Kato
Dang, I don't do much work like that but that tape is pretty frickin' cool!
comp56
well must not have been as good as they hoped being introduced near 6 yrs ago and haven't heard much about them......
BMack37
That's a really good idea. I imagine if it had a big name attached to it, that it would sell a lot. I don't do that kind of work but I'd buy one if the cost is reasonable, just so I don't have to measure then go grab a square.
dwasifar
I found it in a comparison test article about tapes. The article didn't say anything about its special design, it just put the tape through the same tests as the other tapes in the comparison. It came up short in the standard tape functions like standout length and surviving a drop. But I went and looked it up elsewhere because I figured there had to be some reason for its shape. I'm not sure I'd have a use for it. If I'm cutting framing, I'm using my speed square as a saw guide anyway, so this tape wouldn't take the square out of the task for me.

albert.amantea
Pretty cool idea, but I wonder how long the plastic will hold up on a job site. Also, most framing sites are basically a mud wrestling pit. It would be interesting to see how it stands up to that as well...
albert.amantea
I just checked this on Amazon... 3 reviews total with the first in 2012,through 2014...2 decent marks, and 1 sarcastic comment. Oh yeah... And it runs around 15 to 16 dollars US.
