Corded stapler issue

When it fires twice does it hit twice or fire two staples? If I understood what you're saying it hits twice and that sounds like an electronics problem.

Does it hit twice if you hold the trigger in normal operation? Maybe the trigger switch is sticking.

Is it the exact same amount of staples before it fails? If not, maybe try a different pack of staples and cleaning the gun. Spray some WD40 or brake cleaner into the area where the staples are fired from and the track, then cycle the gun so the spray gets on the plunger(that pushes the staples into the material).

If it does it at the same interval, there might be a gear that is involved in the mechanism that has a broken tooth. Probably unlikely to find the part but might be worth a shot.

My guess is an EEPROM or some other form of control chip. It wouldn't be worth the time trying to reflash the EEPROM (if that's what they're using) or change any electronic components (Leaky caps or diodes).

What's the warranty like on these? Maybe you should try tweeting or instagramming Arrow, that's how you get customer service in 2017.
