sand blaster leak through hose grommet

Hey guy i have modu blast E series sand blaster.  where the hose goes through the sand hopper it always seem to leak through grommet and there's always sand on the garage floor. 

 

It seems like a lazy design flaw and wasting good sand. I was think using silicone to make a better seal.   Does anybody else have or use sand blaster with same problem..

 

I serviced the unit and only filled the unit at a level according to manufactures recommendations , but  you end up with same problem when you use machine and get sand near the hose grommet.

 

Anybody encountered this issue with their sand blaster and have a remedy

That Mod-U-Blast sand blasting cabinet looks like a great tool.

 

The Owner's Manual says to check for media leaks but doesn't define how to fix that problem.

 

My suggestion is to call the manufacturer and see what they say.
