Eider Posted March 26, 2022 Report Share Posted March 26, 2022 Hello all, I was wondering if someone could give me the correct part # for brushes for my DWE7491 Type 2. The only parts diagram I can find is for an RS and this is not an RS. I tried the brushes for the RS Part No 5140033-19 and they did not work. They seem to be to long. Anyone have any thoughts? wingless Posted March 27, 2022 Report Share Posted March 27, 2022 Welcome to the forum. Other than the excessive length, do the brushes fit? If so, then maybe some creative rework can provide an acceptable result. For example, if the exterior surface of a hole saw, w/ approximately the same diameter as the motor commutator is covered w/ abrasive attached w/ adhesive, then that could be a tool to rework the brush length. If going that route wear air and eye protection. This is a perfect example of why it is a great idea to create a computer folder w/ manual and part diagram files for tools after they are purchased.
