Wouldn't be popular in America.

We love / need our fractional inch tape measures. I gave my daughter my cheapo Harbor Freight spare tape measure because it included text fractional markings on the blade, which she found handy (and I didn't even notice existed).

A laser engraved stainless tape measure sounds nice.

They make Metric/Imperial version also, but not fully Imperial.

Thanks for the info.

IMO, those dual unit tapes are horrible because frequently the side w/ metric is required for usage on a given measurement and is unavailable because of the millimeter scale.

Same here, I only use only Metric tape measures for the same reason, that is why DeWALT tape measures does not suit me as they have both.
