My pneumatic brad nailer quit so I bought a Milwaukee M18 brad nailer.  Why doesn't Milwaukee nail guns come with hard cases? I understand it is easier to carry multiple tools in soft bags vs carrying several hard cases, but nail gun tips need to be protected. And for what Milwaukee charges they could give hard cases like some other brands. I guess they want you to keep buying packout crates to carry any new tools.

Packout sales would be my guess.  I don't own any Milwaukee nailers, but the DeWalt finish nailer came in a hard case, while the Ryobi pin and brad nailers didn't even come with a bag.  Then again, I bought the DeWalt kit and the Ryobi bare tools.

I've noticed fewer and fewer tools coming in blow-molded cases.  It'd be nice if they tossed in a brand-specific box like ToughSystem, Packout, or whatever Ryobi's toolbox system is called, even if they charged a little extra.
