madman_us
ya it was my bad, i tried out the wrong link in the hd email.i called HD customer service because i placed an order 2 days ago and i asked if they can adjust the price with the promo code.or should i just cancel the order and place a new one with the promo code.she said she cant adjust it but shes able to send me a gift card. then she asked what kinda of promo that was - $10 or 10%.of course i said 10% - she rounded up the gift card to $25 and i will get it via mail in the next 48h.that was def worth a phone call haha

DR99
Yea it was abused bad as they set no limit on the it you could use it on a 11 dollar purchase with no limit on how often you could use it. People were buying bitsets and all sorts of stuff.
RickyMcGrath
I've been a pro-member at HD for a LONG TIME. their promo emails usually offer $10 off $50 purchase. This was probably released in error.
sparky603
Probably? There's folks all over the interwebs bragging about how they placed 50+ one-item orders, then proceeded to return the items that they got for only a dollar or two for full-price store credit. Don't think we'll see another one of those anytime soon.
chadlanthier
Peopl always have to screw things up. I'm surprised they gave them full price, typically the receipt would show price paid.

ChrisK
No ethics is what drives prices up...hence false returns and scams.... Ticks me off.
