When I cut a fench or similar I use the tracksaw..

I just found out to make a piece of wood to hold the track.. Maybe I am a last mover,but here we go.post-48769-0-90649900-1429447152_thumb.j

It glide inside the track and I have one in itch end..

I did something similar once where I had to cut a side panel vertically to get it flush with a wall. I just drilled a couple of little holes in the ridge of the track and countersunk them. Then screwed the track on the panel and made the cut. Mind you, the panel had to be painted, otherwise screwing wasn't an option.
