William S
Does anyone know the number for the dust collector attachment for the DWE6423K? I would like to use it with my 581H, I know its not the best solution but its all I have at the moment.
William S
I'm going to answer my own question and I assume its the DWV9000. If anyone that knows if that will lock into the DWE6423K sander I'd appreciate it, thanks.

Mr. Yellow
I think the DWV9000 is what you need. You put this on your hose and the AirLock connector attaches directly to the sander. That adapter is meant for a 1-1/4" hose which is the same as the 581H has.You have to remove the endpiece though that is currently on the hose, but you can just unscrew it. William S
thanks, no place has any DWV9000 in stock so I decided to order it. It does look like what I need though. it looks like it twists on with the little ball bearing locks which my sander has.
William S
well I got the hose adaptor to work, the only problem is all of the rubber cement they use to attach the hose to the end piece. Anyways I got it working but tore the hose a bit, oh well it still works. Does anyone know where one can buy a new hose for the 581H? I have been looking but nothing so far. Mr. Yellow
Another user said the end piece isn't glued. That was not entirely true. Mine was glued, but only so little. Too bad you tore yours. I think you'll have to buy that as a part: Hose Assembly #5140128-68, $14,89http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Products/Detail/DCV581H
William S
thanks for the info, not a big deal since it still works but yeah its new so i'll replace it and use the old one strictly for sanding.
Mr. Yellow
On a plus, with 2 hoses you don't need to switch out the end pieces anymore if you wanna use the on-board accessories.
William S
thats exactly what I was thinking. the tear doens't affect the suction at all so it's fine but yeah I'm getting a 2nd one for th reason you stated. Thanks again
