comp56
ok so wonder how many batteries you would need on hand to screw these wood screws in all day.....

Conductor562
Overtime kicks in 6" from the head
jeffmcmillan
What on earth is the justification for those. Need to screw the roof straight to the floor or what?
comp56
Actually used quite a bit with timber framing....
Peter Argyropoulos
Actually, you can talk amp hours, torque, voltage and whatnot till you're blue in the face. Until you know what kind of wood you're screwing them into and how old it is, it's all trash talk
chewie17
Overtime kicks in 6" from the headwell that could be taken the wrong way.... hahaha these screws however would most likely be used for landscape ties. multi layered stuff that you want to keep true and flush all the way. ive used 8" at the longest and my gen. 1 Fuel did the job very well near the end it slowed a bit but hey I only sank about 8 screws so id say you would need about 8 2Ah batteries? right in line with the 20Ah's given earlier... DR99
I bet the High Torque impact wrench would do better at a task like that.
DR99
I bet the High Torque impact wrench would do better at a task like that. The only thing is you would need to countersink the bolt head.
comp56
my guess would be slow and easy, that much rod will heat up and twist and break with major force behind the driving....I know my regular fuel m18 driving 3" decks screws in heat up....no one feels the heat if they go in and stay...take one out fast and see....lol
Hugh Jass
This seems silly. At that length as mentioned above heat would destroy this screw. Even in balsa wood the friction over a foot of shank would probably be in the hundreds of degrees. I snap the heads off the shanks of T25 ceramic deck screws daily with my impact at a third of that length. If I ever find something like this I'm going to test them. comp56
pre drilled holes maybe?
Bremon
Looks like a job for pre-drilling. 3 5.0 packs on rotation would do it I would bet. That said, I've snapped tapcons, I'm sure these would be easy to snap with an impact.
kruton
Those are used to prove you are one bad unit...you have to screw it in by hand with a stubby screwdriver!Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
