DiverDn
Who's going to pickup the 20V adapter when they come out. I'm thinking about it, I have a drill and a circular saw that are still in good shape. Get the adapter and use the batteries from my new drill and have a great spare for projects when you talk you buddy into coming over to help out. DR99
You might want to check if your tool is compatible before you buy it. Some tools are not working like the cordless nail guns.

JimboS1ice
Price seems a little high but interesting that they are releasing kits.JimboSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
ChrisK
I just saw the Tia video on this. I'd get it if I had the 18v tools but....I don't. I think it's totally worth it though. Awesome innovation from what was arguably a big mistake from Dewalt. Those guys are picking up and helping their customers out with this one! Marc Harris
Great move by Dewalt.
Stercorarius
Might be worth it just because of how many 18v tools that are laying around gathering dust in people's garages that you could get for free/dirt cheap
Stercorarius
These don't work with any 20v battery right?
JimboS1ice
These don't work with any 20v battery right?Yea I think only the 2.0s, I don't think any of the higher ah packs work by don't quote me.JimboSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

JimboS1ice
Do you guys know what the XRP was running for Ah on their old Nicad?I think I've seen that, maybe the tool can only handle a single row of lithium batteries, I would imagine has something to do with electronics and over load.JimboSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ChrisK
That's what I'm wondering Jimbo, if what you said is correct it might simply be the electronics in the older tools might not be able to handle the higher Amps?

ChrisK
Thats what Im thinking too. Regardless this is a really cool option for the guys running the older tools!
JimboS1ice
You can usually pick up the older tools pretty cheap too, they had the xrp circular saw for 60 bucks at HD for a while to clear out their stock.JimboSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NicholasShetley
I think that the old xrp packs were either 2.2 or 2.4 amp hours. It probably has something to do with the higher amp draw with the 4.0 or higher packs.
JRS5565
I have had two of these for months you can use any amp hour 20v(2-3-4-5ah) battery with them in the tools they work on.
