Peter Argyropoulos
The floor and stairs are so visually busy that there's no way I could live in a house with it. Our eyes need mostly uniform textures as background in order to better process and appreciate contrast. This design is nothing but contrast. sleephero
Looks kinda like someone made a mess with the stain and had a hard time cleaning it up.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ChrisK
Jimbo, I saw a post on this on the FOG last year maybe? Although not my style that is simply beautiful. It must have literally cost a fortune to do that! I just bought an end piece of black walnut, maybe less than three board feet for about $20. Really nice piece of wood and I got a decent board for some projects I'm working on but it ain't cheap especially for the book matched stuff on this piece of art! ChrisK
No doubt Jimbo and same here. Not for me but that is art. Whoever did that job has got some serious talent and a heck of an eye!
Nordraw
That floor is unreal. Goes right up to the stairs and matches it, love to have something like that.

JerryNY
It's a shame they couldn't afford to put regular planks down Seriously though I agree with others that it might be hard to live with but that's a lot of beautiful wood. Justin Hernandez
It looks really nice, but I agree the staircase is a little to much.
