Jim86
A few weeks ago I picked up the new Milwaukee 2nd Gen fuel Impact/Drill combo set. I have noticed some chuck wobble it is not the worst I have seen but its pretty obvious I am wondering if you guys have are having the same issue. Do you think I should return it back to home depot? figureitout
I switched from Dewalt to Milwaukee specially specifically because I couldn't get a drill that didn't have that, now my Milwaukee 2nd gen fuel does it too. Very frustrating. Take it back, but good luck finding a better one.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337Z using Tapatalk
Renner_construction
It's not as bad as you think it looks I think some of it is from the machining process...I've got 3 of those drills and they all do the same thing, put it to work and deal with it. JimboS1ice
Seems to be a common thing with them.JimboSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Logan
I heard a lot of Milwaukees having that problem
WeldfabNeil
I have a slight wobble with my gen 2 fuel drill. it doesn't hinder the performance for me. It's a handheld, even if it didn't have a wobble you would probably move around 1/16" during drilling. I mean It's not meant to be a precision Cnc mill. I think If you want a drill for looks yeh go return it but hey it's a tool made to work so shove a bit in an go to town.
Fazzman
Are you sure its not just the sleeve on the chuck? My porter cables have the same thing, but when actually drilling they are fine. Put a 6 inch bit of a decent diameter in there and you can see really how bad it is.To be honest for just plowing holes into whatever it wont matter. comp56
it is a hand held drill motor, you are causing more out of tolerances specs while drilling any hole anyway, if it is a hole that needs tight tolerances you need a better tool to do it. mill drill, drill press, mag drill, boring machine lathe ect ect if it is so bad you can't even start a hole I would look to have it replaced......
comp56
just unpacked a new gen 2 drill and no wobble, running true.......
DarynH
I have two and they both look like they wobble because the machining on the chuck is off but put a long bit in then and there isn't any actual wobble.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
pjsockett
The black sleeve on mine wobbles but not the actual chuck or bit itself.

KnarlyCarl
I did notice that with the chuck, I go to use it, and never crosses my mind thereafter, never gave it a thought after that first time I saw it, never stopped/hindered it from doing its job, just thought that was normal
JimboS1ice
Just tested mine, no chuck wobble either
BMack37
I have three Milwaukee drills(no Gen 2) every one is extremely true, chuck wobble is a big pet peeve of mine. I've literally put a 16" metal rod in the chucks and there's no wobble.
khariV
On mine, the black sleeve sort of looks like it wobbles a bit, but the actual bit itself is straight as an arrow - verified with a 14" bit with no wobble at all at the end.
