That's amazing never knew this was out there! So many cool useful user friendly features, with the whole head assembly moving, its not restricted to just how long the spindle can move.

Isn't Bosch blue though? Did you mean the other way around?

If that does show up in blue there will be one sitting in my garage! That is a nice little unit. I'm curious what the price point would be.

Bosch has a green 'DIY' range for home / light users etc, and a blue range for professional / heavy users, but unfortunately this tool is only made as a green DIY model. Hopefully Bosch will learn from this model and its small problems and make a beefier Blue version.

The price in NZ for this model is around the $400 -$450 mark (US$280 -$310) which makes it a lot more expensive than a small drill press, but it has a lot of features you can't get on a cheap drill press.

I looked around on some other forums and a Bosch associate said there were no plans for a blue version available in the states.

Hi, been looking for days now for a "swing" distance measurement on the PBD40

Can anyone help?

Ok... seems to be 120 or 125mm from the inside of the column and the centre of the chuck.

I ordered drill last week and will update the measurement 100% if anyone wants to know.
