    What site is that on?
  2. Welcome to the forum Kent. The 40v lineup is specifically designed for their outdoor stuff so it's going to stay and continue to develop. I just read in interesting post on toolyguyd where Stuart specifically speaks on the matter. Hope this helps dude!
  3. It's hard to blink at Milwaukees lineup. I do love the few Blsch 12v tools I have and look to continue expanding my lineup of their tools. I have heated jackets, a brushless drill, a light and a great little vacuum that I use to clean up around my Kapex. I would agree though, Milwaukee has a giant lineup seconded by Bosch' lineup.
  4. I remember when the last big tool releases happened. Dewalt was bashing Milwaukee, Milwaukee was bashing Dewalt.....Milwaukee and Dewalt were bashing Makita, Bosch was in the corner crying cause Mommy and Daddy were fighting. But you know who stood tall? F-E-S-T-O-O-L!!!!!!!!!!!! Just kidding, it was pretty nasty through. Truthfully, Milwaukee has a great lineup. So does Dewalt. I think that this new 60v lineup is amazing and the use of two 60v batteries to power their miter? Genius. Clearly derived from MAKITA who did it first with their X2 lineup! Dewalt clearly took a look at this genius idea and then?.....Dewalt stepped it up by adding AC power to their saw. I said it when Milwaukee launched their miter saw....they should've added AC power. Having a cordless miter saw for the job site, that can be used in the shop with a direct power supply was smart. I mean.....I said so!!!!!
  5. Rich, did you end up getting a saw?
  6. Welcome to the forum Tim!

  8. Welcome to the forum Patrick!
  9. Hey being a fellow wood worker, did you fashion that knife?
  10. Hahahaha that didn't take long. Couldn't help but notice Dewalts competition in the circular saw was the Milwaukee. Jib jab
  11. Let me quantify this by saying I don't disagree with Jimbo. But.....;) The Ridgid has a lifetime warranty.....IF you buy it from HD and IF you register the set. Ryobi has a 3 year warranty. Ridgid has a decent 18v lineup of tools. Ryobi has a HUGE lineup of 18v tools. IMHO I believe that Ridgid makes a really great high quality tool line but so does Ryobi and the cost benefits to Ryobi make things easier. A full line of drills, impacts, saws, sanders and multi port chargers etc. If your using those tools just around the house and might Segway into garage work (air pumps, garage doors etc), then Ryobi might make a great line up for you. I have some experience with both lines, my Father, who does independent contractor work as a retiree, uses Ryobi tools almost exclusively (minus the Fein tool I bought him) and he really likes the lineup. In short, you asked about two brands and you asked for opinions so those are mine! Either way, both tool lines have great tools, Ridgid is a bit of a step up in some areas but Ryobi will be adding brushless tools, has a phenomenal impact gun and even a great entry level cordless drill. Their Airstrike nailers are fantastic and significantly cheaper than Ridgids new line of nailers.
  12. Pretty easy to follow. Also they'll power the new 120v tools too........:D

  14. Thanks for taking the time to post that. Actually a really good comparison to boot.
  15. Well don't worry guys, @wildroamer and I will keep you up to date on the pure unadulterated power of the new recip.
  16. Well if it's any consolation I already own one but can't have it too friggin August!
  17. Wow. Jimbo has drawn a line in the sand.
  18. Yeah but Mom and Dad won't let me open my presents!!!!!!!
  19. I mean.....it worked great......for me!
  20. This should help you out Kurt.....
  21. I've got the hog ring on my Bosch but I've actually had the spring on the end come off of the darn thing!!!! It works great now but that was a pain in the butt! I'd like to get the pin detent but truthfully my use of the impact wrench is limited. God knows I'm no mechanic!
  22. That's what is great about the light offered in the XPS on the Dewalt saw. I will say on the Kapex, adjustment and accuracy of the laser if phenomenal and dead on but it uses two lasers outlining the exact location of the kerf. My biggest grip as always is the laser is so darn bright, in low light conditions it drown out your tick mark!
