  1. Mose, friggin awesome set up. Love the overhead too. A,axing how much room you have in there with all of your gear in place.
  2. DCF887 for $135 with a 2.0 and a 1.5 on eBay. Also just got another Lie Nielsen chisel, this one a 1/2 bevel edged socket chisel!
  3. Well they are very selective about what they allow and don't mandate. For instance, Festool has a circular saw that cuts Dados. Will never be approved here because it could be quite dangerous. There are a few combination table/miter saws out there that are not approved for US consumers. The blade is again, in a precarious place that could be dangerous. Dust, in its myriad of forms ranges from annoying to downright poisonous yet the DC attachments isn't mandated. Kind of curious!
  4. Well Robin! That should help you in your decision making process!!! Great find, thanks for sharing and that is a heck of a hammer drill and that table saw is a good machine!
  5. I think we agree with each other in that the cordless option is great. My HKC is actually cordless. I don't completely agree though in that Contractors and DIY guys are often hard pressed for time (and $$$) Having cordless tools is a great option but being able to control harmful dust while working right where the subject matter is located saves time and money. In the case of Milwaukee introducing something like this, it allows the Milwaukee consumer to bring work right in, keep things clean, and get out saving the extra time of leaving the kitchen or the tech office or wherever else you may find yourself working. My HKC is completely cordless, operates with or without tracks and hooks up to a HEPA filtered DC unit. This piece of equipment the OP wants to add has always been a gripe of mine with circular saws here in the US while I have seen tools overseas have this awesome feature. @olletsocmit has a friggin spectacular idea and this is something a finish carpenter would absolutely love.
  6. Well, you just could get a Festool HKC then...... Seriously. Really cool idea and I would love to see this project at completion. Imagine working in a customers (or yours) kitchen or living room and not having to clear the room out from harmful dust or throw out food that's been contaminated, cover over sensitive electronics etc. I could never understand why these saws (not just Milwaukee) aren't sold here. Probably looser laws in the US?
  7. Yeah! What Kruton said. Suck it California
  8. Is that the rumor about them Fazz? That is pretty exciting. I don't currently have a compact impactor and keeping my 12v Blues is a priority for me.
  9. The PS22 is a lot shorter than the 32 and I honestly never really considered that one as my CXS has a Jacobs chuck too. The Makita look like awesome little tools and appear to be sized like the Hilti but I think the Hiltis might be a tad bit smaller.
  10. Yeah, that has always been a mystery to me. Bosch even introduced a new 18v one handed recip similar to the Milwaukee. Regardless, brand wars are a big deal on TIA and seem to sprout up every once in a while. Milwaukee is a huge company and has some really strong offerings out there but I really like my little Bosch's just fine. Very high quality and the size of the tools are tiny which is great for that intricate work.
  11. I can tell you one thing too, the barrel head of the Bosch is pretty robust, but that ECTech impactor is one super compact little machine!
  12. Here is an interesting picture showing the Bosch is clearly the most compact impactor in the 12v line represented. Though the last two pics I took, this one I grabbed off of google.
  13. This is a picture I took of my PS22 compared to the new Hilti (which by the way......AWESOME!)
  14. Yup, that is the M12 Fuel impact model #2453. The Fuels are pretty large tools. For instance I had the original M12 Hackzall and switched to the Fuel version. Much larger. Very powerful though. My Fuel drill driver was nearly the same size as my Dewalt compact 20v drill driver when it had the 4.0 battery. The impactor is a great Milwaukee tool but I am really liking my Bosch PS22. The big thing is Milwaukees 12v range is by far the largest lineup of cordless 12v tools. I'd dare say Bosch is number 2 in the 12v lineup but I really like the tools they offer. I don't really use a lot of 12v tools but this far I have two heated jackets, the FL12 light and the compact vacuum.
  15. I have had both and the Fuel drill is actually quite large. The Fuel impact is very compact. Both great little machines. Currently, I have the Bosch PS22 ECTech driver. It is amazing. Super super compact. I really like the new Fuel screwdriver but have steered away from Milwaukee. I am sure it's a great little machine but the 22 fits exactly what I need for installation and assembly. Works in tandem with my Festool CXS.
  16. They have been really focusing on the monthly giveaway on the forum. Some really good stuff coming out for the members!
  17. Phil, try the USPS Priority envelope. Super cheap and its priority. Just do not send via Staples USPS. THEY SUCK
  18. I think Makita is the only company that I've bought from that sells their batteries like that. Even my Festool batteries come without a cover. Truthfully, I've lost all of the covers for my Makita (I have three) batteries. I did get the 2.0 USB cover for my Makita and that thing is awesome.
  19. The vise screw and dogs are worth more than what you paid by far. That's a seriously good deal.
  20. Thank you! They actually get work COMPLETED for us.
  21. I want to comment more directly on my opinion but.....maybe the chat room is the more appropriate place. Regardless, the State can further restrict and create laws.
  22. The state still allows for the law to be a felony. Think of it this way, the Federal laws can tell you what is wrong. The State cannot make that law not wrong but they CAN restrict it further. A good example is the legalization of drugs. The Feds have said its illegal. Some states have said its not. This is a direct conflict with the federal laws so therefore the Feds can take action against an individual state for violating federal law. Normally these actions involve the retraction of federal monies dispersed to a state. The Feds are always cautious to take direct actions against a State. Not good for the Feds reputation (i.e. Political suicide).
