  1. Actually I have to agree with you BMack, the machine didn't make hardly a sound. The steam engine was pretty quiet too. You know except when it would pop on occasion. I imagine myself on the bandsaw with some really nice Sapele and jumping straight into the blade when it goes pop or tripping on the log cutting blade that's about a foot off the floor!
  2. Well.....I PREFER to pay full price on my German tools.......
  3. No,worries here Wayne, I'm just glad your on bro!
  4. But this would be pretty cool to have around the house. I took these at the Deerfield fair a couple of weeks ago and they are steam powered tools. Most notably a bandsaw, saw, and drill press. Pretty cool to have out front being manned by the damned. Especially on Halloween!!
  5. Yeah yucking it up with the Royals!!!!!! That's really cool Wayne!
  6. Honestly I always thought tools got out to you guys first in most cases!
  7. The brushless recip would be nice. I switched to Milwaukee years ago but I always regretted losing the circular and recip from Makita, I always like those better than my Milwaukees. Doesn't matter now, I'm all over the freakin' place with different tool lines
  8. Steve, first off welcome to the forum. I wouldn't get any of those tools for "lug nut removal". You really need and Impact Wrench to perform that kind of work. All of those sets are great for home repair, building decks etc and Ryobi is a great cost effective tool also but in the long run if your popping wheel lugs you really need to use an impact wrench. Currently for that type of work I have this one..... http://www.boschtools.com/Products/Tools/Pages/BoschProductDetail.aspx?pid=IWHT180-01 If your looking for really rugged tools to perform general repairs and carpentry all of those brands are great and Ryobi probably has the largest line of tools out there. Currently, I'm running Dewalt 20v for my hammer drill and circular and couldn't be happier.
  9. I keep my Leatherman on me all the time at work. I've also got the Charge and love it and use it at home but my work one is the MUT.
  10. Like Petros and I go for what's best for me. I've got a smattering of everything. I love my Bosch tools, I love my Makitas, I love my Milwaukees and I love my Dewalts. Everybody brings something to the table for me. But hands down. My Festool CXS is the best drill driver I have ever used. I have been using it all night assembling a new cabinet in the shop.
  11. Now that's a friggin' awesome thing from Toolnut!
  12. Thanks guys! I'll post some more soon. I took last night off (after I wired in my last outlet) but am going to be down there all afternoon. I'm hoping to set up my plywood cutting table in a more convenient area in the shop plus I finished up the trim the night before last. Today the plan is to stop by HD and get some more casters for my DW745 cart that are bigger plus some more 1" trim for my cutting table.
  13. Just do what Comp does and Milwaukinze it!
  14. Oh and let me reiterate this I really have never heard of this
  15. Wow. I have literally never even heard of that site. What is it?
  16. Welcome to the forum scutzi and just like Daryn said, we've got one ready to go!
  17. I mean imagine the shock this morning on the thrown! Here I am reading ANOTHER Playboy article and I completely missed these reported nude women! It's like I just crawled out of a cave and discovered the sun! Now they're taking away the sun???? WTH???
  18. Nude ladies??? I have always just read the articles! I NEVER knew there were nude women in there!
  19. I know it doesn't look like much but there is a lot going on down there right now which will culminate with my new bandsaw. It hasn't left the bulkhead stairs since I got it down there on Friday. There isn't room to sneeze down there so far but it's coming along nicely now. I can't wait to get down there tomorrow when I get off duty and start hammering way. I will be adding some cabinets after the bandsaw is built too...
  20. Hey guys, a quick update. I took a break to be with my buddy Rufus and had not been in the shop for quite a while. Anyways, the last week has been pretty eventful for me. I added some more wall space, painted and moved the Kapex back to where I originally had it before I started slapping up walls. Any ways, here is a couple of quick pics I took before painting....
