  1. My brother and his fiancé had the 6cyl Ranger for years. She bought it in 96 and traded it for .... I freakin' kid you not...a goat. Brian the goat actually. Cute bugger. Anyways the Ranger had minimal issues and next to no maintenance. When they traded it it had no rust issues even for NH and had over 300K! The guy is still driving it around, I see it every once in a while in my town about 25 miles from his farm.
  2. Nicholas you are correct but Fein is actually a German company. For the impact and the regular drill and hammer (non ASCM) they contracted a company to build their Fein designed drill and driver as it was cheaper for them to make and sell as a more cost affordable tool. It's still designed by Fein standards but built by an outside contractor to their standards and you are correct in some similarities between the two externally. The ASCM is designed by Fein and built by Fein in Germany but it's a higher end tool that they can sell and market from their factory. I was wondering the same thing when I saw their tool line pop up. I ended up following a couple of threads on another site and got that information (i.e.....I'm not German and don't work for them....but....if Festool or Fein are hiring... )
  3. Hahahahahahahahahahaha Good for them! Nice, gotta love the entitled. We don't want people that work coming in to our place! Awesome for a news crew to take a public stance like that. Wonder if they should work here Stateside?
  4. My first truck was an S10 but I hated the thing. Ended up with trans problems. I had the 4.3? Vortec 6 cyl.
  5. 2014 Tundra. It eats gas stations.
  6. Elbow Macaroni. Yeah...that's right be-hotches....ELBOW FREAKIN' MACARONI! Put that in your pipe and smoke it!
  7. I got mine last Saturday and it's still in the box. I'll try to mess around with it later on during the weekend though. Been a little busy at home and work and haven't been able to even inbox it yet. I'll icks nay on the unboxing video!
  8. Nice stuff Comp.....see, we are all full of hot type set!!!!
  9. That's gorgeous Don, did you 96 the original door and now just have a single into the basement?
  10. Awesome stuff Nalu, good luck at the OJT, you've got this in the bag dude. Remember, with age comes experience and generally speaking a real quality ethic!
  11. NER (John) gave me a cool Festool apron I have been using at the lathe. Slick as snot. Really nice quality apron and it fits a bunch of tools.
  12. Yeah and the same question was asked of the Dewalt 20v which are also very similar but not. But I like the fact that they are 2.0s and they even have 4.0s now too. I have an old B&D hedge trimmer that I can't kill, great little machine that I've owned for the better part of 15 years.
  13. Don't forget Das Boot was one heck of a war movie too! About a German sub crew! Boot Toe
  14. Wow that is a really good deal for their 2.0s. From experience too Jason, those are good batteries to power whatever you've got. B&D has some decent yard tools to be sure and that Autosense drill is brilliant. I know for a cheap o company if you look at most of their tool reviews by DiYers they are generally speaking quite high on the ratings lists. Not Milwaukee, Dewalt or Makita but still good.
  15. Pretty cool WigWag. Are you into scale model building too?
  16. That's all I have seen at my HD too Mike. They have these beat up tools marked down a tiny bit. My local store has has had the same Ridgid 18v drill for $150 marked down. It was a display and is missing a battery. Lowes is even worse in my town.
  17. I read a post from one of the Tool up sales people and it looks like they don't normally sell these but they do sell the multi tool lineup. I'm assuming they worked out the special with Fein but yeah, that is why I got this one. German made, not rebranded. Plus the multi chuck is pretty sweet. I will say from what I've read the rebranded TTI / Milwaukee is made to Feins standards and is supposedly a decent drill and somewhat different. Amazing how much the drill, hammer and impact look just li,e Milwaukee M18 older tech though.
  18. Here here Comp. awesome stuff. Definitely have a lot to learn after watching these posts.
