  1. Thanks Don. I guess after this last of an abortion of a winter your are dead on about having two doors!
  2. Thanks Comp. also, I ordered the 14" Rikon 10-325 bandsaw. It came in today and I took Friday off so I'll be picking it up in the am. I'll be pm'ing the crap out of you, mark my words, on bandsaw questions!
  3. To add to your question about Wera, in addition to my Klein tools, I've got several of the Wera tools and I absolutely love them. I also have the 3/8 Zyklop socket set which is phenomenal. I also have three NWS pliers that are excellent.
  4. Congrats on the new job Matt. I'm with all the above. I've got some Kleins and they are awesome tools. I've also got a bunch of Wera tools and a Klein MM.
  5. Let me know what you think Regopit. I almost pulled the trigger at Toolnut. Pretty pricey but I love my framer and I wouldn't mind giving it a shot. I still haven't bought the air strike finisher yet so....
  6. Good work sny and talk about adding some good looks to the house. That's a nice look for your home.
  7. Awesome stuff Comp. what size blade are you using on the band saw?
  8. Wow Moxy! Awesome job dude, love the unserved storage. Are there going to cabinets or open faced?
  9. Nice Comp! I was looking at jointers yesterday but I just bought a 14" Rikon Bandsaw. It'll be in in a couple of weeks but that is a sweet find you've got there! I'm scouring CL still trying to find one in my area. That's going to get some serious use from you I bet!

    Stuff going on

Hey guys, I was out of the office so to speak for almost two weeks. I lost my best friend and companion for the last 12 years, my dog Rufus. I got him from my parents when they moved to Florida 12 years ago. He was 2. My buddy kept me going through a real rough patch when my first marriage ended when she moved on to somebody else and he had been in failing health. For the dog guys out there, you know about that bond. For the non dog guys, well, it's something I can't describe. I never had a dog before. It's like a piece of you goes missing when something like this happens. Anyways, the little guy went through a lot with me and I have been a bit lost the last couple of weeks 2 to be exact. At about five is when he went) but coming back the other day made me feel pretty good. Yesterday, my Wife and I went to the North Country to get our one year anniversary cake, then shot south to the Deerfield Fair, then went to my brothers house to let his two shepherds out. My brother Kevin and Samantha and I buried Rufus at Kevins house and we brought some dirt from his favorite hang out spot at my house up to Kevin's. I chose to bury him there so he could be next to my brothers great loss, Kody. The dirt was just a reminder from home. We buried him next to Kody, who died two years ago. Kody was the only dog my boy liked. Not to mention Rufus was a 23 pound Miniature Schnauzer who did not like other dogs. Anyways, I just wanted to say thanks to the guys here, I love the forum and coming back and being a part of it is always therapeutic. The second pic was when Kody and Rufus were puppies. For you dog guys, give them a hug and enjoy them. They are always there for you and being there for them is a real good thing.
  11. I got a wood iron for a gift a few years ago. Really small maybe 1-1/2" wide but pretty sweet. I use it on whatever I build in a small hidden place. The one I have is brass and is electric so as the hot iron heats up I can leave a nice dark mark. I love your design Comp. are you going to engrave the piece or make a decal?
