  1. that's been a running joke for a while but last Monday I watched Fargo for the first time. When the opening scene occurred, that blonde haired hit man in the car made me go...."holy smokes! Eric was in freakin' Fargo!!!!!!"
  2. No thanks Justin! 2009 sucked! Getting older..well that sucks too but it ain't all bad!
  3. Finish protool, it's all about finish work. You can cut timber with a chainsaw but it ain't going to be a finish cut. Take for instance cutting exposed beam ceiling in your house....do you want a Husky tearing the wood up or a saw giving it a nice finish cut? It's really about what quality you want. If I were building a log cabin out in the rough, sure thing, a Prazi or a chainsaw would be just fine, but for quality finish work you have to use a good blade. I suppose you could mutilate the cut with a chain but the follow up with a plane and chisel wouldn't be cost effective or time effective.
  4. Glad to hear that Toronto. Hope you feel better and good for you for showing up yourself!
  5. Ditto on All points John. And I'm Glad to have you here too kruton. Really like your posts and it's awesome seeing so many new members on the forum, not driving post counts, just good commentary! It's amazing seeing the members ebb and flow. Lately there are so many posts popping up I can't keep track but that is an awesome thing to have here. I've seen it before the giveaways where there's only a couple of posts from a few members to now, I can't even find my posts to add on too. Now...if we could just get rid of that Bigmikez fellow! Wins the UTB and he walks around on water like he's something special......TOTALLY UNLIKE ME!!!!!!!!
  6. Yeah and a buddy of mine flipped a couple while he was on the job. One didn't sell for a long time and he really ate it. I though about doing that too, just don't want to play with my retirement
  7. Your gonna love that distance measured Mike. It's awesome and dead on accurate.
  8. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=P17O4h2vBQU This was the first video I saw from TiA. I went out and the LXT211 kit the next day. Loved that kit.
  9. http://www.timberwolftools.com/tools/makita/M-5402NA.html Just a link for a good sales site. Plus a chance to check out Mafell
  10. Hahahaha just a smidge more... These are real popular the the sawyers, I wouldn't get one because I don't mill at the house but if I ever buy a larger property, this'll be on the list.
  11. Yeah ankur, that's kind of where I was going. I'm sure it was a fluke but I wasn't too happy about those issues. I had a ton of issues with my first gen M18 drill driver with the chuck. Got a replacement, same problem. Got another replacement, okay. I was not too happy about that. With the two warranty returns, they were so easy to deal with but again not too happy I had problems. I will say the M12 Fuel Hackzall, the M12 Fuel impact and the M12 multi tool I have are absolutely awesome tools.
  12. The chainsaw is unbelievable. I can't believe it's battery powered, got it hung up on a partially felled branch but that was my fault and any saw would have had the same issue. Super compact, light, the only gripes I have are fuel gauge and the safety lever is really close to the grip so if wearing have glove as evident in my video review, it trips the lever. Still, I am so so so glad I bought it, it's awesome, As far as the bit kit? Yup CPO Makita, haven't tried them out as I just got them and opened them before the pic but man I love having brads and safety drivers. Well put together kit and snaps onto my old sustainers no problem. I'd go so far as to say I love the rounded edges on the case,
  13. Thanks Justin, I'll try to get it done ASAP.
  14. Wow. That looks familiar.....hmmmmm maybe my Dewalt DCN692?
  15. I deleted the video. I'll re shoot again
  16. So no sound is coming through? It plays on youtube
  17. No, it's me dude. I think I'm going to shoot it again. I did t think the Bosch PB360 was on too loud but I was speaking too low. I should get a mic
  18. Well looks like Nana is gonna be quite pleased!
  19. I LOVE the framer! Absolutely awesome gun 77. It's the cats shiney a$s
  20. Alright guys....professional opinion Bosch DDH181X 18v Drill Kit... I shot a quick video of the Bosch in action and running next to the DCD985 hammer. This was a really good comp as the machines are both 18v (Dewalt is 20v max....ie....18v) and we're both running 4.0ah batteries. The test subject was a 2x6 kiln dried and the mechanisms were a Lennon 2-1/4" hole saw and a 13 y/o 1" dull spade bit (Irwin...yikes!). Firstly, I'd like to apologize for the music....not type, just volume, and my volume....weird shooting while my Wife is upstairs. God! I must be self conscious! Also, I refer to the belt clip as a side handle....,just ignore it.....I'm camera shy Really, really impressed with the gun. A couple of drawbacks as you'll see in the video but this is an awesome tool and if Bosch makes my very simple suggestion it'll be even better. Someone posted on the merits of brushless the other day. Well neither of these drills are brushless and I'm quite happy with these guys. Thanks Eric and Dan. I really appreciate being here. It's been quite a few years now and it's helped me relax and even get through some rough times and quite a few of the members I consider friends. And now my Bosch tools have a new friend! Long live Tools in Action. Edit: Video to be re shot and posted!
  21. So just posted my small Makita family portrait so not wanting to snuff team yellow..... Darn it! Forgot my Dewalt XL clamps well I've got six of them! Oh and for any of you smart alecks....my Wife loves me. I didn't realize she wrote it on my I feed feed table for my planer
  22. Not a lot but the lineage is great..... X2 Chainsaw Brushless Grinder brushless Barrel Grip Jig Saw Hypoid Magnesium Saw Drill Bit Kit 2 Bay Charger 3 - 4.0ah batteries
