  1. Yeah the next day the price was up. I was hoping you'd get it, sorry dude
  2. BK, I'd give NWS a try! But like you, Irwin is pretty much dead to me too. http://www.german-hand-tools.com/nws-pliers2.html I push this site quite a bit because I've done business with them before. A little bit pricier but not too much and he ships super fast.
  3. Well thanks Chris, I'll be there in about 10 hours!
  4. I'd probably use the hammer. That's still 1.5mm of clearance the impact has to make up. I used my Dewalt DCD985 to shoot a lot of large tapcons in. I pre drilled with the hammer and used my DCF885 to drive them in without problem, attaching several 2x4s to make the partial wall in my shop so I'm not sure what the problem your having is but maybe you just need a larger diameter bit for the fasteners? My impact and hammer got pretty hot during the whole process but that was quite a bit of work. Not so hot that I couldn't handle the tool, just they were working.
  5. I used to have that Fuel drill and I ended up selling it. I wanted a compact kit and although I loved that gun, and it was a compact powerhouse, I needed a gun that was really small. The Fuel drill is actually quite large. But like said earlier, a 1/2" metal chuck is a big deal and having the power to use it makes the drill a slick machine. I will say that my Fuel impact is really small and works awesome. I though about getting the brushed Milwaukee but I ended up with the CXS which is truly the best drill on the market for its intended purpose. With my CXS and Fuel impact I've got small covered! Too bad about that chuck. I have had to do two warranty returns on new tools to Milwaukee. Not happy about having to return new tools for warranty repairs and Q&C but....the ABSOLUTE BEST EXPERIENCE I have had with a warranty return. The tools are date stamped. They don't care if you bought it new or found it in the gutter, if it's less than five years old it's free. That's pretty awesome.
  6. Welcome aboard Dennis. You clearly haven't read any of the articles or posts on this site. Unfortunately the help you seek cannot be found here. The help you seek can be found at a tupper wear party where we all know our better halves seek to overthrow our constant drive to plan, buy and build a better future with the power harnessed from our minds and hands and thought the constant acquisition of tools! Oh....and beer.
  7. Good point Justin and when brushless tools came out, that was a big argument...."are we going to just throw the tool out?" Time has been showing that, no, throwing tools out hasn't been an issue but my shop runs on brushless and brushes. My Dewalt planer, table saw, 20v hammer and circular, my Makita Hypoid, my Dads old Craftsman 7-1/4" that works slick as snot at over 30 years old. My brushless tools seem to hammer on longer but that new Bosch Brute Tough 18v drill is brand spanking new and still has brushes. AND 700" lbs of torque. My Milwaukee Sawzall has brushes too. Still chops crap up quick. Oh, and that brand new 18v x2 chain saw has brushes and it has been serving me quite well! My shop has a ton of Festool tools, all brushless (minus my CXS) as does my small Milwaukee collection and some Makita and Bosch tools too. I don't hang my hat with one or the other. I appreciate what brushless offers but to turn my back on a tool that can be easily repaired right in my shop or the back of my truck with brushes that you can get at a lot of hardware stores and at online dealers such as ereplacement parts I will continue to use my brushed tools knowing full well they get the job done. Might not be as flashy but hey.....neither am I

    That's my boy!

Being a Union guy I can say this.....must be a union guy! Eating a cookie in his underwear!Cute kid kruton!
  9. Hey kruton, I don't have any with that guy. I really wanted it but when I win the UTB I got the Bosch 18v brushless multi tool and decided to stay with that. I will say, I'd probably go with the Fein as its the same mach be but with the plunge. If I were going to drop some coin on a Festool, I'd go with what my Wife got me for Christmas a couple of years ago....the TS55REQ track saw. I'd also look at getting the Midi or Mini vacuum. Once you've got the system in place it's really unbelievable. I don't push the Festool stuff so much cause it is scary how much it costs (although half of what Mafell costs) but the fact is....German made with high end components. Complete system of tools that work together to make projects easier and cleaner.
  10. Hahahahaha . I'd say get the Festool tape measure for 25 but it's crap
  11. I'm not sure why but I like that white one that says Festool.
  12. Yeah I think so too. I'm saving up for a bandsaw right now so getting the cordless saw isn't high on my list as I have the 20v Dewalt and it's actually a decent saw. But.....that Makita will get some good use when I get it!
  13. Geez Mike, I'm sorry to hear that. You feel like moving up here? Gets little cold but no income tax or sales tax. Of course homeowners pay for it on property and auto registration. Still a nice are! I hop you can sell quick and get out of there asap!
  14. Beautiful job Xc600! Is it PT for the decking?
  15. Still on my list John! Especially with the 4.0s I'm sporting!
  16. That's awesome Andrew! Looks like a sweet machine too. Were you using the included compact battery on the gun? That's awesome run time!
  17. Well I've got the intelliport charger for my one Ryobi tool, the air strike brad nailer. I've got. 1.5ah and 3.0ah battery and they charge in under thirty minutes. If you look at the link here it say all batteries in under and hour. Also I've attached the HD USA link to the blu version of this trimmer which is identically to the green one. It gets great reviews. http://www.reconditionedtools.com/ryobi-140173019-one-plus-18v-intelliport-dual-chemistry-charger/ryon140173019,default,pd.html?ref=pla&zmam=31282435&zmas=47&zmac=733&zmap=ryon140173019&kpid=ryon140173019&gclid=CjwKEAjw8qetBRCj6vKH8IC_kwoSJADGQ8dS81eJ2oEFr1YSSujtAuPQPAPSTg1XoMLEVnNZ3fMTnBoCpsjw_wcB http://t.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-18-Volt-ONE-Trim-Router-Tool-Only-P600/100342147 Hope this helps.
  18. I seriously doubt the ambulance chaser will win. Totally different mechanism. That'd be like saying...... "Hey.....I made a cordless drill that goes forward and reverse.....hey....those jerks have a cordless drill that goes forward and reverse too! I'm suing!" It ticks me off on account I want a saw stop saw. I hope Bosch comes up with a stationary one just so I can buy it and say "suck off numb nuts"
  19. Moving Mike? Make sure you get the room for the tools baby!!!!
  20. Yeah I showed Samantha the video before we went to the mountains today. I passed the Conway scenic railroad and burst into spontaneous orgasm. I'm a hoot.
  21. Hey it's BK! I used to have a four ten and it was sweet. Longer days dealing with stuff but the three day break was nice. Plus you could work ot on one of the days you were off. As far as getting up.....450 to 5 every day. 7 days a week. I wish I could sleep in
  22. Hahaha that's freakin' awesome!
  23. Welcome aboard PlumbBob! If it's wet and stinky I'll call you guys! Otherwise like DR, total amateur!
  24. Ha! That dude laying in the snow in his boxers obviously doesn't know what snow does to certain body parts. Jamoke! Try doing that over here when it's 20 below and your sweaty butt print gets flash frozen to the pavement!
  25. No comment there! I would agree, try to keep it clean, no badgering members or name calling. But on another accord that's kinda funny. Of course I am not a huuuuuge fan boy!
