Sounds like a real Hoot. My meeting this week was about School Buses and "Exempt" railroad crossings. WooooooHooooooo
  2. OMG!!!!!! SACRILEGE!!!!!! That's pure insanity, I would NEVER put a Milwaukee Sticker on a Dewalt box....my God in Heaven! Think of the carnage! Kinda like when Venkman wants to cross the streams in Ghost Busters. Next thing you know Zule will appear, Sigourney Weaver will be wearing see through clothes and writhing about!
  3. Exactly my point DR. I read Toolguyds offer and they said maybe there is still more to come but I can go to HD right now, get a structural foam box by Dewalt a little cheaper. I haven't because I don't was a bunch of boxes laying all over the place. Not dissing Milwaukee, I bleed green then red....but I hope they don't let us down here.
  4. Hopefully they come out with a modular unit like my Systainer T Loc's and Bosch L-boxxes. Looks like a decent box but I'm curious and God help me for saying this, that the Dewalt Tough boxes might offer more?
  5. Welcome aboard Kj. I live twenty minutes from Portsmouth....New Hampshire!!
  6. I'm actually thinking about buying the Airstrike (STILL haven't gotten it!!!) and a blower plus the hedge trimmer. I figure the batteries would be nice plus the Airstrike will be awesome. My compressor scares the crud out of my little best friend
  7. C'mon 15 gauge!!!! Course I'll buy the 16though!
  8. Welcome aboard Kevin!
  9. I use the Diablo pruning blade too. Works awesome.
  10. I hate to say it....I use the Dewalt Impact ready magnetic drivers and love them. They've lasted me several years so far.

Texting and driving Conductor?? For shame.....for shame.... Since I took my new position almost two years ago I am in meeting weekly. Believe me dude, my heart bleeds for ya!
  12. Congrats Randall! Good parenting there!
  13. Hi Kevin, welcome aboard young man! I won't hd the Dewalt thing against you
  14. I had a Panasonic 12v NiCad impact driver and the batteries were absolutely phenomenal. Not to mention the gun was a really smart multi function and speed impactor with tons of power.
  15. Welcome aboard Fazzman!
  16. Oops! Festool....Festool...Festoool...FESTOOOOOOOOLLLLLL!!!
  17. You know I think we collectively get side tracked when people ask a question like this. We all have brands that we know and trust to get the job done day in and day out. I think what you really should do is research the lines out there, figure out what price point you are WILLING and COMFORTABLE spending and go the upper end of your analysis. I buy tools now that I am confident will stay with me many years so I end up spending a lot for those tools. Consequently if I don't think I need it, I try not (yeah right) to buy it. With that said, most peoe on TiA are very much about a particular brand or two. I am one of these. I try to buy into a line that I can expand upon. Cordless is a really great way to do this. Batteries and chargers are not interchangeable so when you make your choice keep that in mind. The participants in TiA are really expert in their opinions so trust what you read and see on the TiA web site and Forum. Watch YouTube videos and be cognizant that you are about to embark on an epic journey! Have fun with it!
  18. I wish I had some experience with the newer stuff but alas... I will say, unrelated, I had the Ryobi 10" Contractors Saw. The Craftsman was identical except the colors. Don't know factually that is was a rebranded Ryobi but it looked crazily like the other. I sold the saw and glad I did. But my two older Craftsman are USA made and great saws. I won't give them up. My Dad gave them to me and when I build my garage / woodshop, I will use my radial arm.
  19. I had a Craftsman 7-1/4" Sliding miter saw. It was awesome and I had it for about ten years. I sold it on CL to a professional woodworker in Wells Maine. He loves those saws for flooring. I still have my Dad's OLD 7-1/4" circular saw and a 10" Radial Arm saw that is awesome though I don't use it in my shop any longer (no room)! I haven't used the cordless tools but the C3 line is supposed to be a pretty decent DIY tool made by Ryobi. People love the Ryobi line so...
  20. I will say, the OP posted it before under another topic or name. I emailed him as he had it listed for sale and he actually had it for sale on eBay in his eBay store. Pretty pricey but....well so is Festool . Only I like my TI 15 Impactor and my second choice is still the Milwaukee or new Bosch but the Makita really looks pretty slick.
  21. All things considered, I had that circular saw at one point several years ago and it was actually a pretty decent saw. I haven't tried those brushless tools but I know the hammer has a ratcheting plastic chuck and not a huge amount of torque. The Impactor is a single speed but again, I haven't used either one of those and I base this simply on reviews.
  22. I have a business friend who works as a mortician. Now let me tell....I've helped him out a couple of times.....that is NOT an easy job! Physically and mentally and gastronomically tough!
  23. Thanks for asking the question Highdesert! I can actually sleep now!!!!!
