  1. I know it may seem biased by me suggesting Milwaukee but one thing that I really like about Milwaukee is their offers like the bare tools or batteries they seem to always have. Like a great way to start for cheap is the $99 m18 1 battery compact drill. At $99 is in craftsman pricing territory. And unlike Stanley black and deckers many brands "value" offerings, the Milwaukee drill for $99 isn't a stripped down version to cut costs. It even comes with the dual m18/m12 charger.
  2. You have to be in a same day delivery zone and even then only certain markets will have it
  3. Amazon is currently in a testing phase for the same day delivery drones. If it becomes successful, other retailers following seems likely. I wonder if someone like Lowe's and hd do the same if it would only offer drones delivering from their online warehouses or retail stores or both. I would expect drone shipping to be very expensive since it is good for same day delivery so it might be more convenient to pick up at the store although I'm on the same boat as you guys and over buy because man these little trips for odds and ends are so time consuming.
  4. I think it's a cool idea but it wouldn't work for me because I live in a condo and dropping it off in the front lawn would just be asking for it to get stolen. Unless it could navigate up and under the stairway without crashing into a wall.
  5. Amazon to test same day delivery with flying unmanned drones soon. Seen it on the news this morning. In the video the drone delivered on someone's front lawn or back yard. What do you guys think of a unmanned robot delivering your package?
  6. I have the green komelon in 25'. After using that tape, I can't stand using other tapes that don't have the self lock feature. I would like one with the large hooks and a magnet. I seen a komelon with a large hook but it wasn't a self lock. The only one that has both features that I seen was a kobalt but was missing the magnet. I would like one with all three features. Also that self centering feature sounds great. I also have some of those free harbor freight tapes. They ain't bad for free.
  7. The link redirects to this exact page we are on, what the? Anyways, I would be interested in Milwaukee making a similar tape with a self lock feature
  8. @ conductor, you guys were right this blade is great. I only have the stock Milwaukee blade to compare it to and the Milwaukee blade is an excellent all around performer. The diablo blade is noticeably faster at cutting 2x4's. Not by much but I was able to tell the difference. This isn't really a complaint because I know it wasn't the blade or the saws fault but cutting the fence panels did go a bit slower because they were pretty moist. Must have been a fresh batch from home depot. Juice even came out when I fastened the panels to the 2x4s as I sank the screws. The dry panels were a joke to the blade. Like cutting paper with a scissor Anyways the m18 saw looks pretty good with a diablo blade on it
  9. I agree, the Milwaukee tape is a bit huge, the 25' is the size of most 30' tapes. It might just be me but it's also expensive. That lufkin at amazon is expensive too
  10. Wow that stinks, do you have a back up generator and propane gas? Hope things get better for your family soon
  11. Not sure, I didn't ask but my guess is it probably will only charge one at a time for the same reason the m18 only charges one at a time
  12. Doing my black Friday shopping at home depot today and was talking to a Milwaukee rep. Had a good conversation, he mentioned some new products like the new radio that's coming out which all of us tool nuts already know but he did mention a new m12 multi bay charger coming out. I thought it was a good idea as I have 4 m12 batteries. What do you guys think?
  13. That's a lot of power, it will make for a good hot rod truck
  14. Wow that's crazy, I remember when I went to best buy a few years ago the line was bad, it wrapped around and behind the building, I was standing near the dumpster lol. And man was it freezing
  15. Over in Canada, did you guys get a good deal on that dewalt 20v compact drill? I thought that was a pretty good deal here in the states for $99, not sure what that is in Canadian currency.
  16. That will turn out great. Not sure how power full a 350 Chevy engine is but it sounds tough. I forgot what the numbers stood for, cubic inches? Horsepower? Either way it will make a high power to weight ratio because that truck is light. My car is considered light at about 2800-3000 lbs.
  17. That hole saw kit is nice. Be careful with the lower end android tablets, I had a galaxy tab 2 and the ram was always getting full and slowing the whole thing down, had to constantly stop programs from running and clear the ram memory. You can't go wrong with an ipad but theyre pricey. Meh is exactly the word for this years black Friday deals. I did see at walmart on their ad a 32" lcd for $98 but I hate standing in line and only a limited supply also would prefer a bigger size. I was going to get at hd the 3 husky tool bag set for $20 but after a good thought, I noticed it would be on impulse and don't really need them. I do need to replace my spade bits so I will try my chance with the 6 pack bosch spade bits set for $5 at home depot tomorrow. Sort of not worth it but if they sell out atleast I can look around while there.
  18. Just wondering what stuff you guys are planning to get during the black Friday deals. Anyone going to stand in line? I didn't see anything that made me jump out of my seat this year for black Friday deals. I have stood in line in the past, once at a best buy and twice at walmart.
  19. Where you type your reply below it are two buttons, one says post, the other says "more reply options" click on the more reply options then below the box you type in you can choose a file, click on that button and navigate your computer, or smartphone and select your picture, then click on the button that says attach this file and repeat if you have more pictures to upload. Works on smartphones too but what I don't get is how some people here can upload photos on their posts that are big, my photos show up as thumbnails that you have to enlarge to view. Thanks
  20. Little fence I built this thanksgiving week. Took me 2 days to build. Building fences is easy, only thing that takes for ever is waiting a couple of days for the quickrete to dry and painting. Power Tools used: M12 radio, M12 heated jacket, m12 hammer drill, m18 circular saw, m18 fuel impact driver, and m18 fuel hammer drill. Used the fuel hammer drill to mix about 15 small buckets of quickrete, still had a bar left on the battery when it was done mixing. Also got to test out the new diablo blade on the saw. This project might seem kind of pointless but was necessary to deter theft on a ac unit at a rental property. It has been stolen before and they aint cheap to replace.
  21. @ Dr99, I did think of that. Unfortunately it wasn't until yesterday that I remembered and gave it a try. Price went up to $74.99 which I believe is still a good deal even though I don't know what the full/regular price is. I'll make sure to post the store link if I ever come across a deal like this again
  22. this isn't Milwaukee's first radio with a charger, there was a v18 radio with Rockford fosgate that had a battery charger, wonder what the deal was with the dewalts patent back then, probably the same as bosch
  23. name a compact job site radio that charges, also if you don't like Bluetooth that's cool bro, don't buy it.I use Bluetooth for audio for music all the time so for me it would work great. I hate cables. I was even looking for a Bluetooth receiver dongle to put in my m12 radio before this radio came along so guess how excited I was when I read about this radio. Too bad the price is insane. I hope it's a typo.
  24. There's nothing wrong with bragging about your favorite tool and if Milwaukee keeps innovating, well there's not much anything we can do. They're just an unstoppable force with new ideas. Some of them are just obvious like incorporating Bluetooth into a job site radio. Or the first to add a battery charger in a compact radio. But instead of waiting until some other brand comes out with one, they paved the way. I used to be a "dewalt" guy too, and I still have deep respect for them but when it came to cordless tools, I just got fed up with some other red brand always coming up with new tools with new features. $229, dang dude that's expensive, I will have to pass at price. I think $150 is reasonable.
