  1. Another tool prediction, maybe Hitachi and Milwaukee might announce 5.0ah battery packs to come out for 2015. Maybe even 2.5-3.0ah compact packs.
  2. Lol "party favor" that's good stuff.
  3. That's some nice gear. Well done. What makes it interesting is that for a time I considered getting the dewalt 36v stuff, mostly for the circular saw because of the full size power but didn't because of the limited lineup. Let us know how the fuel stacks up to the 36v stuff.
  4. The people are going wild over the dewalt scanner
  5. Was the dewalt radar scanner rushed?
  6. only you can answer that question. It's hard to answer for you if we don't know what you will be using the drills and impacts for. Both brushed and brushless models offer excellent run time on xc battery packs but if you need to stay off the charger longer go with the fuel. New brushed impact driver models if you can find them offer very good torque at 1500 in lbs so if only looking at torque then upgrading to the fuel impact isn't worth it much but the fuel impacts have 3 speeds which make them better for precision work. The fuel hammer drill is one of the most powerful 18v hammer drills out there so get it if you also need a drill for heavy duty use other wise the compact m18 drills are good for up to medium duty work.
  7. @ regopit, there is no separate fuel line and 18v line, they are Both m18 18v. If you want Milwaukee's best, then go straight for the m18 fuel drill and impact.
  8. Yeah a radio update would be nice. I was waiting but got tired and bought one this summer. Which radio are you hoping they update?
  9. Tool predictions Milwaukee.... M18 fuel rotary hammer 1" M18 fuel compact Rotary hammer 5/8-3/4" M18 fuel multi tool M12 fuel multi tool M18 fuel wet dry vac with power cord M12 fuel hackzall M18 fuel jigsaw M12 fuel jigsaw All other brands will scramble to R&D brushless products to complete with new fuel tools introduced in 2013 like circular saw, sawzall, grinder, heavy duty impact wrenches and m12 fuel line. After R&D they will most likely release tools in 2015 or as early as late 2014. Dewalt will add a few 8v tools. I doubt they will come out in 2014 but Milwaukee seriously needs to come out with 18v nailers. Also would be nice if they came out with large and very powerful m12 fuel drills. Something along the lines of the size of a very compact 18v with around 500+ lbs torque and a side handle.
  10. Good video overall. Surprised the dewalt was able to drill with the low rpm. I see you bought both, what advantage do these have over a pistol grip 12v screwdriver?
  11. I don't know of any but you know how some combo kits include flash lights? It would be sweet if they included the new m18 flood light in a fuel combo kit.
  12. I don't know jack about trucks. But since it is your first vehicle I assume, it reminds me of my first car. I remember I felt the need to soup it up. Didn't get to since it was always needing to get fixed. Glad I didn't spend money on stuff that I really didn't need like bumper kits or chips or neon lighting and all that other junk you don't need. I'm not saying don't fix it up, if you got the money go for it. But if you do fix it up atleast start with what it really needs first and then get all that extra stuff. I see too many kids with 22" rims, don't get me wrong some are pretty slick but then you look at the rest of the car and it needs a paint job, had a ton of dents, etc. Man I sound like an old geezer and I'm only 30 lol
  13. Did anyone cash in on the home depot mistake they had this weekend? Toolguyd found a deal on hd for the 2 piece fuel kit that includes the hammer drill and impact and a brushed grinder for only $299?
  14. Wow what an amazing price, the 2 battery circular saw kit alone is $350. To bad these deals are sold out
  15. I do pretty good on craigslist but you have to be reasonable with your price and firm and a lot of patience. Luckily you're selling a dewalt tool and dewalt has a bigger demand than most brands. I have an easier time selling dewalt stuff than Milwaukee or other brand of tools. Pennysaver is good too but there's only so much you can type and no pictures which leads to a bazillion questions when people call. Like right now I have an ad for Milwaukee m12 batteries and charger and this moron called me yesterday asking if I was selling a car battery charger. I just hung up on him. I've always wanted to try eBay but the jerks want a 10%+ cut. After listing fees, shipping fees and PayPal fees your easily looking at around 15%.
  16. Yard sales are the worst place to sell anything of value. All sales are impulse buys and no one wants to pay much on impulse.
  17. I know getting a tub and tub surround all in one pieces are a pain in the butt to get in or out of a door and sometimes require the wall to be opened up. Might I suggest demo-ing the tub and surround with a reciprocating saw and installing a normal tub and tile the wall tub surround. If you buy the materials and install yourself the price is about what a reglazing would cost. You can use floor tile that's cheaper than a dollar a square ft to really lower the cost if cost is an issue.
  18. Not sure about the cordless but the corded dewalt has a lock BUT only locks on full speed.
  19. Prices on the second hand market for dewalt tools have really taken a nosedive ever since the xr models came out and lower prices on new brushed models. When I sold my 20v impact kit with 2 compact batteries the best I did on craigslist was $120.
  20. I was going to suggest a 12v screwdriver like the m12. I used to have one and loved it. Probably has double or triple the torque of the Hitachi And variable speed. But I'm sure damnyankee needed the form factor of 3.6v-8v screwdrivers.
  21. My m12 non-power tools are life savers, they get used very frequently and are a big hit in my household. M12 led flashlight M12 radio M12 power source M12 jacket (also gives off visible light in a completely dark room in medium and low setting, obviously not a replacement for a flashlight but enough light to see where your going) Also like my rigid 25' 12gauge extension cord. Has 3 outlets one at approx every 8 ft and the outlets have led's making it a makeshift outlet tester
  22. Nice, yeah I wonder why no orbital function on the sawzall, cordless jigsaws have it, why not the sawzalls? I was hoping the fuel circular would have a 7-1/4" blade and corded power. It's supposed to have corded power and way longer run time and I'm OK with the 6-1/2" blade.
  23. How are the new fuel saws? I've been dying to hear how great they are
