  1. So I returned the new Bosch 18v brushless 3speed impact driver set after all. I really don't get impress by it compare with my dewalts.. But it does feel geart balance and light weight and I don't like the L box at all. Funny things is they refunded me not only what I paid for ($224.99 plus 4.17% hi sale tax) but with the $25 coupon price and they didn't even ask for the 3 extra battery packs back. which I got paid $25 just to try it and 3 free bosch 18v battery packs to keep, What a deal!
  2. Nice fancey stuff for dewalt fans!
  3. yes sir. I got a 4x4 toyota will get me pretty much anywhere on the island;)Pictures from last year Christmas up on Mauna kea summit. My bady;)
  4. Thanks man. Winter in Hawaii usually are pretty warm on the island I live on (Kona, west side of the Big Island), I live in town, but it can get chilly at night up on the mountain. If we want to experience a cold Christmas, we take a 50miles drive from town plus another 10,15mile to up to go visit the summit of a extinct volcano call Mauna kea to play with snow;) (Mauna Kea is one of the only places in the world where you can drive from sea level to 14,000 feet in about 2 hours) me and my wife like to do that at least once a year just for the fun of it;)
  5. Here is the picture for my 3speed impact from Bosch.

  7. Thanks guys. Indeed, I'm a very happy man even I spend quite a bit too much over my budget. But im all set for the next 10years for what I need on tool wise, if they dont break on me after warranty passed! Not everybody has a super sweet deal like I did. Most of the super speacial they had were only 10 or 15 available with extra $10bucks off for door buster deals and 1 free battery on power tools or free accessoriesor on selected while supplies last. Kind of like a black friday sale on tools. Then the rest were like 10%off on some tools and Tools accessoriesors. I meant I kinda got lucky on my deal with the dewalt sale rep. It was only 2 of them on the site. I bought 2 small tough box for $60bucks. It was a great deal $20off from original store price. They only had 7 tough system carts available and it was a $50 off special for the cart when buying 2 small cases and 1 med size with 1 XL to get the $50 off for the cart. I was almost bugging him out to give me the total of 17x $10 special coupon. I think he only had 30 total. By then after he gave me the 17 he has 3 left;) he told my buddy, Man, your friend is good, real good! There were 4 main sections of special sale rep. tables. Milwaukee, didnt has much deal going on. Beside free $20bucks worth of accessories on selected tools or a free hand tool purchase something I wasnt interested in. Hitachi has no one there, beside my buddy got 8x $10coupons from the sale rep. buying the not sure 6 or 7gallons air compressor set with 2 finish nail guns and a free a 25ft hose for $290 after his $80 coupons he got. He was showing off his coupen to me, so I went to dewalt and worked them;) Bosch killed it. Before the store open, a sale rep. Passed on a $25off couple to the first 25people waiting on line and a free battery on all new BC brushless powertools. That is why I got that 3speed impact and 2 extra battery pack on top the 3 battery that came with the deal. But I might return it tho. I don't quite like the 1/2" socket head design that makes my socket stuck and find it hard to remove it. Could be just me dont know how tho.
  8. I love good deals. but being the top 10 people at a doorbuster sale would be my first. My buddy talked me to waking up at 4am and wait on the line to get in the store at 6am for the annual big blow out sale in my local contactor store called HPM here on the big island Hawaii. It's pretty much the bigger tools sale you can find for the best deal. Here are what I got:) and a tough system cart is on my way. The dewalt sale rep. pretty much talked me into giving me a free tough system cart if I buy 2 set of bare tools with my other purchase. I was only planning spending no more than 300bucks. Became 1 $275 plus another $383 translation. But the dewalt sale rep. gave me 17x$10 special coupons with 1 free 3.0ah battery and USB power source and the $170 special coupon covering the tough system cart and the set drill bit set for free. I spent only about $420 on all those dewalt tools with a free cart. The Bosch rep sold me on their 3 speed ec brushless impact driver, The Bosch sale rep. gave me a addionational $25off plus 3 extra 2.0ah silm packs on top the deal, totals 5x 2.0ah silm packs and extra $25off come out for $225. I love big tools sale like this one on my island
  9. Yea, got 5x TIA stickers today;) lucky number 5 is my favorite. Feel like a belated birthday present from TIA. Lol... One on my Tool draws! One on my truck! I decided I want it on the left rather than on the right so I moved it;) One on my tough box! 2 left! I'm debate putting one on my work table and the last one either going on my phone or tablet! Thanks you TIA!
  10. Wherd can I find active offers? All I found on the bits page was noted "Due to overwhelming response, we've gone through all of the sample bits allocated for this promotion. Stayed tuned for additional opportunities to receive a free sample." I think they are out:(
  11. Same here. The first time I did it a week ago. They never sent me a confirmation email. Waited a few days. Noting. I tried log in. They said email not registered. Tried again. Same. Register 2 more times. No email still, but finally recognized my user name. Weird.....
  12. Same here all sold out on line. I tried my store first. But hawaii homedepot doesn't do those deals..
  13. Very sweet looking. Thanks for the full detail info. Might have to get one or I'm sure they are making a cordless one as well. Wonder will that be brushless like how they did it on the multi tool:)
  14. Thanks and happy birthday to you too:) hopefully you get what you want:) the BL Hammer drill is awesome. Its one of my favorite dewalt BL tool I like the most!
  15. Ha. Thanks. I do like to have all my cordless powertools yellow. Because I have a 12 pack of 20vmax batteries;) but buying tools are so addictive, once you are hooked you want all of them. Lol.. but its nice to have it when you need it tho;)
  16. I would love to get it for $99bucks. But cpo charge quite a bit on the shipping to Hawaii:( wish they do usps.
  17. After my recent 29th birthday I gained a few more dewalt 20Vmax line tools and cases. I'm now upto 10 tools from the 20vmax line and 3 tstaks and 2 tough boxes! Yeah me. Thinking about doing a post here for my dewalt tools show off in a week or so! man... I love Birthday;) everybody are welcome to post what you got! No comparing just share our yellow tools happiness together!
  18. Ha... thats why I hate going to the store when I'm hang over. I always bought something was what I thought what I was looking for but not..... lol.... Me too was waiting on the BL circular saw come out. But I can't wait any longer. Ended up went to lowes and bought a dcs391. Not too happy about it compare with my older dcs393. I still missed my missing 393 more:(
  19. Free? Hell yes! Full link please.....thank you!
  20. Its my birthday. hopefully my TIA stickers are on my way!

  21. I might just buy a 5.0ah just to have it. And hoping the 3.0ah and 4.0ah get on sale and buy another couple of those;)
  22. Like I mentioned when found out just one dewalt 18V li-ion nano pack plus a yellow charger was going to cost me about 200bucks and I'm done with the nicad packs. I did almost switch to Milwaukee fuel when I was choosing which li-ion platform tool company to upgrade to. But I ended up back to the yellow dewalt;) Just wish dewalt will release more and faster on the BL line sooner thou.
  23. I'm with you conductor, dewalt did try. But then those nano li-ion pack were so damn pricey. I remembered they were like $130buck ea. Plus you have to use the yellow dual chemistry charger only for the lithium pack. Thats another 75bucks for the charger. (I also heard there were many people didnt know, went bought the nano pack and charge it with the black nicad changer and blown their brand new nano pack and return it back to the store.) I used to had 13 tools from the 18v line myself. With 3 okay batteries out of 5 at the end. I was done keep buying the compact drill and 2 small battery packs kit for 99bucks. When I need new batteries. Ended up with like 3 or 4 compact drills and keep trying to sell it for 25bucks on CL. Not even have much people call. I was going to buy the nano pack. But find out needed the yellow charge. Like I said they are about $200 bucks for 1 battery and charger to start. Might not just invested the money to they new 20V max. And I went for most of the XR brushless line...
  24. I used to think dewalt were good. But for some reason my Black & Deckers batteries seem last way longer tho. One thing I learnt from the passed nicad cells don't handle well with high humidity surrounding. They seem to go bad faster in time. In hawaii humidity is high. My batteries usually start doesnt hold charge for longer than a year. I also used to leave my tools stand on the ground on my cement floor, cement holds moisture and I think it messed up my battery packs some how. I could be wrong. But I did have 2 batteries die on me when they were use to be good, but then doesn't use them form like a couple months. All the sudden they don't hold charge anymore. Very strange to me....
  25. Well I guess they can totally do that. Since mine little 2 speed cordless dremel is only 7.2v. I bet they can come out with a 8v no problem;)
