  1. I would have to agree with Conductor. I find myself reaching for my M12 stuff far more than my DeWalt 18v stuff. That being said, there are limitations to the 12v line and if i could only have one it would be 18v for sure.
  2. That's an awesome video! My guy's ask me all the time "how did you figure that out so quick....." The knowledge you gain over your career is where that comes from. Schooling has helped me out allot but I feel like I really learned more from the time spent on the actual equipment.
  3. Most of the time my friends want to borrow me and my tools. I help as many as I can because I know they would do the same (and have) if I needed them. Coworkers on the other hand it kind of depends. If it's one of my guys, depending on what it is I usually say OK. Some one that just works in one of the plants no way.
  4. I may have to pick some of these up. I really like the spring in the center to eject the "waste". Sometimes that can be a real pain to get out of there........
  5. LOL. My wife is setting me up with her friends boyfriends or husbands on play dates all the time....... Has not worked out one time. These guys are talking about pork bellies and stocks and such?? Talk about tools, guns, cars, BBQ, CONTACT sports or get the F out!!!
  6. Nice setup pepin! How are you liking that Fatmax tool box? I just bought it a few weeks ago for all my plumbing tools.
  7. Just saw the full video, Dan got sucker punched. I would have done the same as Eric just keep the video rolling "Damn, you got knocked the f out".........
  8. I have the Klein Journeymans. Love them. Actually I really like that whole line. They just feel really good in the hand.
  9. I'm out on a job site today and don't have the model number but I have had the same Milwaukee deep cut Porto band for 15 years or longer and it just takes a beating and keeps on going. Only thing I've had to do is replace the blade every now and again. Three guys use it multiple times a week. We cut all kinds of stuff with from demo to fabrication. Angle iron, strut, pipe flat stock etc.
  10. Be careful with the locking Craftsmen wrenches. I bought a set for my guys to use in the shop. It seems after a few months those locks aren't staying in place and the wrench flexes anyway. Just my experience with ours..............
  11. Is it possible that the wall button has a lockout feature?? That would stop the remotes from working as well.
  12. Fed Ex dropped my new JC10 off yesterday. I went a head and ran just to hear first hand how quiet it is. I couldn't believe how quiet it is even after watching Harold's video.........
  13. Thanks for the info Red. I did not hear about that. May prove to be helpfull in the future.
  14. I think there is a problem with the receiver on your opener. The push button bypasses this and that's why it works with the push button.
  15. It's hard to say without having batteries and charger in front of me to put a multimeter on but I think that since the batteries are showing full charge the charger is working. I'm thinking the batteries don't have enough "ass" any longer. Kinda like when the battery on your car dies. It may show twelve volts but doesn't have enough power to start the car.........
  16. I would agree with conductor. Jet is a safe bet. As far as speed control it kind of depends. Automatic speed control will surely cost more money. I really don't mind adjusting the speed on mine and it's manual. Maybe it's the maintenance guy in me but I sometimes worry about some of this extra stuff like electronic speed controls being another thing that could eventually shut down and stop your equipment from running. Where a manual system all you really ever have to worry about is the condition of your drive belt........
  17. I have the Fuel M12 hammer drill. I love it. Use it a lot when running electric in the plants. Mounting 1900 boxes and such with tapcons. My thought is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I'm confident you will be pleased with your purchase.
  18. I was originally going to get the DeWalt trim compressor. But then I read most of you guys, Dan and Eric saying all the good things about it I figured the Rollair was a no brainer. Harolds video was the cherry on top. Thanks to all.....
  19. Placed the order with Acme Tool. So excited!!!!! Have a trim job todo early next week. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
  20. It seems like this should already be out. They already have quite a few specialty tools ie 600MCM cable cutter, PEX tool, PVC cutter etc. I would buy this in a second. I'm sooooo tired of pulling the handle on that manual rivet gun again and again.
  21. Had an emergency call at our Frankln Park, Il. facility and dropped by a place down the street called Zenger's Industrial Supply (Tool Store). I found an LED upgrade bulb made by Milwaukee (49-81-0090) it fots most of the flashlights that come with the tool kits. Says on package Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Bosch, Rigid and Hitachi. 9.6v-28v. I gave one of my guys my old M12 with the incandescent bulb so I bought this for him. I just got back to the shop and installed it. Huge difference! Anyway just thought I would throw it up here incase someone was looking to upgrade their flashlight. It's a little pricey at $40 bucks.
