  1. I will be buying this.
  2. Red knows what I'm talking about.............
  3. Beats prairie dogging it any day!!!
  4. I've had a few I think they were Milwaukee and Bosch. They worked fine. I did notice however that sometimes the 1/2" chuck adapter would loosen up while using the hammer function. It wasn't that big of a deal if you knew to check it.
  5. Hey guys, Does any one have the plunge base you can buy for the Bosch Colt? I saw it at Menards today and almost walked out of there with it. Then I thought I better check in and see if anybody has good or bad things to say about it before I invested the 100 bucks.
  6. I guess I ride the line as well. I use my tools daily and don't toss them around or abuse them. I'm not afraid to use them though. I make sure at the end of the day to wipe whatever I used down and blow out saws, sanders and such before putting them back in my truck. To me there's nothing worse then grabbing for something and there's a big glob of grease or something on it. Currently fighting this battle with one of my guys. He buys nice tools but anytime we work out of his truck I can't believe how dirty his stuff is....
  7. That's the way to do it Conducter! Think ahead so you have the tools you need to get the repair done if needed. I do a similar thing with certain trades. I have a plumbing box, electrical box and automotive trouble shooting box. I also setup a range bag for any firearms repairs I may need to do while out shooting.
  8. If that ends up being a problem send me a message and I'll get you one I'm in Illinois.
  9. A manufacturer called WATTS sells a 10" which I think is what you are looking. If you google search them you can get their number and call them. I ordered one a few weeks ago.......
  10. I've been using the M12 LED Stick light for about a month and this thing is awesome. It's worth every penny. The hook on top is an awesome feature for hands free use. Very bright light. The only thing would of liked to see on it is some sort of magnet system. Dan and Eric did a video on it a few months ago and I wanted it ever since. Definitely recommend this light.
  11. TIA is awesome. I can go to the blog and find out about tools I may not know about. Dan and Eric's video reviews are great. Not the same old stats and that's it and I'm really enjoying the Friday shop talk segments. However the best part is the forum where you quickly feel like you have made a bunch of new friends. The collective knowledge on this forum is unmatched elsewhere and I'm proud to be part of it.
  12. Been there done that! Have the bucket burn to prove it!!!!
  13. Very sad and it's happening everywhere. The high school I graduated from had a whole trades wing. We also had an option to go to vocational school for school credit when you reached junior year. All gone now. I can say without a doubt I would not be the man I am today without that experience. My ability to give my family a good life and to be lucky enough to do something I truly love has its roots in a high school shop.
  14. Great guys, now I'm sitting here trying to engineer a memory foam/gel/heated/massaging toilet seat. Side note I may or may not have at one time had a small flat screen mounted in the bathroom on a swivel that you could adjust to see from the tub or thrown...... BTW. if I do figure this out you will all be listed as co-inventors on the patent!
  15. Last few months I've been bringing the I-pad in there with me and I have to agree with you. Only problem is our bathrooms seem to be getting used as a conference room and I outnumbered! Wife and 3-1/2 year old daughter. I'm not in there 3 minutes before someone is busting in for some reason.
  16. Really good idea!!!! Reminds me, my garage is trashed right now. I have "deer trails" leading to tools and work benches.
  17. I second DR's statement. It's a real crap shoot on weather anything is going to need SAE or Metric sockets............
  18. I just went out to my truck and grabbed mine. I can't stop mine. It's a 3/8 drive as well. It's actually been a pretty nice tool. I use it just about everyday and if i don't one of my guys do. Hope that helps.
  19. Been ordering from Duluth for years. I have been happy with everything I've bought. Catalog is great goes right in my bathroom library.
  20. All my larger stuff (18v Lithium Ion) is DeWalt. I too decided to look to Milwaukee for my 12v needs. Hard to ignore the depth in that line up. I have the 1/4" Fuel impact and hammer drill/drill combo. I also have the ratchet, multi tool, die grinder, jig saw, 90 degree drill and the three led stick light. I reach for the M12 tools far more than I do the Dewalt 18v stuff. Do I need to bust out the Dewalt stuff sometimes?? Absolutely. But I have no regrets in the money I spent on my M12 kit. It's a quality product.
  21. One of my guys stored his Corvette there last winter and tried to again this winter. They told him they didn't have any room for his. I need up letting him park it in my garage next to my Mustang. As much as that hurts to admit on a public forum........
  22. I've had the same problem finding 18v tools. I have too large of a collection to start over with 20v. I'll have to try the internet or a straight tool store like Berlands.
  23. I have 4 of these boxes and bought another today. Love them! Thing is I never thought to remove some of the bins and put tools in them. Great idea Tool Freak. Not sure my wife will be thanking you when I head to the depot tomorrow and buy 4 more..............
  24. I bet its been almost a year. It's showing some wear. But holding up. Like I say his biggest hang up is he thought he would be able to set it down and grab tools as needed like with the Veto Pro. When he puts it on the ground it won't stand up and he has to keep flipping it open. There isn't always something for him to hang it on. His is the first Veto I've seen that was wore out like his was. He's really rough on equipment, roof tops covered in snow or out in the rain etc. That being said it appears the Klein can take some abuse. The next time I'm working with him I'll see if I can snap a pic or two for you.
