I guess they never updated the product description when the DWS780 came out. Mind you, I am using this clamp with the DWS780 and can confirm it will fit. DW7082 is the US productnumber. DE7082 is for Europe. Thought it was the same, but it isn't.

They already have one which fit different models incl. the DWS780. I use it because the one that comes with the saw is crap. #DE7082

Yes you can. Most of the parts can be ordered seperately. Partnumber is 1004566-06 for the yellow latch. As far as I know it is in the works and from what I've been told it will be significantly lighter and more compact than the previous 18v models. Hope they bring out both sizes: 18ga and 16ga angled.

I usually check the UK version and the one from my country, but the brochure varies a bit for each country. We can never compete with the US prices. Check the crazy differences on 36V tools... Possibly it will also charge the batteries. There's a review that mentions this (not published yet. thank you Google Cache ) Though I doubt it is correct...considering the small form factor and the suggested retail price. But I'm gladly proven wrong

Actually, they should add the Multiport technology so it can also charge existing 18V Ni-Cad/Li-Ion batteries.

I hope DeWALT is coming out with one. Milwaukee launched this last year. If you work with a lot of cordless tools this looks like the perfect solution. No chargers hanging on every outlet. Just one charging station. The only thing they would need to change is to charge the batteries simultaneously. The Milwaukee charges them one by one.

Looking good Dano. Nice idea to add the locking mechanism. Made any progress yet? I wonder why DeWALT does not come up with a DIY-kit. They don't have to enter the van storage market to do so. It will easily sell as a home/workshop storage solution with the benefit of mounting it in a van. It's dead easy as a bolt on kit.

it's a 2-way street, but with a catch. DeWALT will have it's own accessories that will also fit other brands (Bosch, Fein,...) like it says in the picture. However, the clamp design on the DeWALT multitool will not directly allow other brands of accessories. Instead it will come with an adapter so you can use the blades from other brands because most brands have a different clamping design. But try it once and you'll forget about the others. DeWALT has the best clamping method available. Yep, similar to the Porter Cable, but with extra features. The worklight for example and the switch. It's a rocker style switch which allows you to start the machine very slowly for precision.
