  1. ^^^ I agree with compressed air to blow the stuff off here and there, even if its just a can of air which are really handy actually around the garage. I usually get a multipack at sams club or somewhere like that. I think a 4 pack is like $12 bucks or something. If you have an air compressor and a safety blow gun for it that can work well too, just make sure no condensation is in lines. The safety guns lower the pressure coming out with the addition of holes in the nozzle end of the tip. I like to make my own tips out of brass.
  2. That Dewalt one looks nice. Seems a lil more compact than the milwaukee one. Clear lids are defo a huge plus imo.

I do the same Brian, cant remember last time i washed a vehicle of ours, and if you opened up my wifes car its like a friggin' dump in there,I wont even getin that nasty thing,I cringe anytime i gotta lookin there. Guess thats my karma forbeingmarried to someone in their 20's. Out here in Cali I see people washing cars all the time, and only thing i can think is it must be nice to have nothing better to do.

Yeah I always lock mine for sure, the other night my wife had to work really late and she drove my car,so to be honest I have no idea if it was fully locked but nothing was missing or at least nothing I care about seems to be missing. My cars windows are also tinted really dark so perhaps they thought i had some goods in there. just stock stereo and such so goof on them
  6. I wouldnt even waste the money on a box or whatevs for it.,we got routers and stuff all over the shop up high on shelves they've been up there for ages with no issues.
  7. Cool man,i have a simlar set in my dining room currently. nice find.
  8. Thats one sweet sander. Awesome stuff.

Yeah dude for sure,me too. Ive had tools stolen in the past and its never cool.
  10. Yall would be surprised at how often this happens in todays computerized world. Ive gotten stuff for free several times even when ive cancelled the order.
  11. Cant say ive heard good things about those, but have not tried them myself. I prefer Irwin Unibit. but you will never get them for the price you paid. good score bro.
  12. I remember having 14.4 Dewalt stuff like 15 years ago. I also had 12v PC stuff before that. Its kind of interesting how they steer things for certain markets.
  13. Gorilla glass and such that they use on these small screens nowadays are pretty bulletproof guys. Lets wait and see what happens when it comes to market. Prototypes which this probably is always get revised and revised until release. Bosch grinders are awesome, but so are Makita,Metabo and such.
  14. I can vouch for and totally second weather tech. they make awesome stuff for vehicles in the USA. or put someTyvek on your seats haha, actually that would prolly suck since you're in SoCal.

AAA membership card = priceless they come do it all for you just in case. More stuff in your vehicle means more things to get stolen/keep track of. I got better things to do than file useless police reports and deal with insurance companies Now if we are going on say an extended road trip or camping or something then yes I do always bring some stuff. If I still lived out in the country as well, but since i live in town its not an issue really. Maybe im more biased right now because someone rifled thru our cars a couple nights ago in our own driveway. I always tell my wife dont leave things of value in your car, thankfully she listened we did not lose anything other than piece of mind. Even thou we live in a decent neighborhood hoodrats as I call them are everywhere.
  16. I have not used that one myself but ive always been kind of a PC fan. I have alot of experience with JET, and Delta floor standing drill presses and a few others. Powermatic, and baileigh make some awesome ones too but they are mucho pricey. For woodworking and such that PC one should be fine. I prefer floor standing models myself. You should checkout industrial suppliers too. I cant even get that PC one locally it seems. A Rikon is only a little bit more than the PC.
  17. Im pretty sure i have some Diamond and Diamalloy somewhere around here.
  18. Borax based stuff works but the problem is it isnt fast acting and to really knock them down you wanna nuke em good to begin with. Borax basically puts holes in the critters carapace and they die from disease and what not.
  19. Lol, thats funny. Thats exactly why I have a seperate bank account for such purchases. You gotta spend dough to make it when you use tools for work or even hobby. Ive never used that one but the size seems good. I just would never bother using it because of what I already have. $99 bucks seems overly high for that type of tool imo.
  20. I keep wanting to get some of those milwaukee ones too. Perhaps they will go on sale again sometime.
  21. Any type of cooler/ice chest should be fine. Its becoming summer months so I always have mine loaded down with ice and such. Gotta stay hydrated.

    Cool tool

Thats pretty cool. Seems like it would be relatively easy for any handy types to make a jig to do this out of just scrap wood or something. Making your own shims is a nice idea because them store bought mass produced ones always kinda suck, and using scrap pieces means less money wasted, plus fitment would be nicer. At least in machining you can recycle the chips and get some dough back.
  23. Yeah from what I remember of these, been a longtime since ive seen one, they are nice to have on top of ones bench or on shelves, small items dont slide over the top if you tilt them upwards either.
  24. Aah,I do recognize those, seen them before long ago.
  25. Nothing you buy at the local place is gonna do much but Ortho Max is best imo, been there, done this several times. You gotta get a guy to come spray your entire yard front to back. It also depends on the kind of ants you have,a good bug guy should know what it will take for your area and have procedures to follow. Estimates at least around here are always free. Scope out a few places and give them a call to come out. the trick to getting rid of them is killing the queen My good friends brother is an exterminator he charged us $50 or so. California has alot of regulations on how they are to properly apply sprays and such so i assume other states do too,you should look into that just for the knowledge. The stuff a bug guy has you wont be able to get easily because of permits(at least here in Cali). Ortho Home Defense MAX works kinda good on ants,I usually use it for Black widows but it lists alot ofcritters on it. they normally have it at HD for like $8-$13 bucks can give that a try first. the gallon refills are cheaper I think, would work decent if you have a good sprayer just pour it into sprayer and moderately cover your yard,it shouldnt hurt the grass in anyway. let it dry before you let kids/pets and such around regardless of what you use. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ortho-Home-Defense-Max-1-33-gal-Insect-Killer-Refill-0193810/203686803
