  1. Yeah true,I have been considering that. Having the system up on a shelf is nice thou. Sub would ideally need to be on floor.
  2. Yeah ive heard about that but the clock is not an important factor for me or many other folks id imagine and most likely ill be listening to mp3 via line in. Id love to just be able plug in a thumb drive, that would be very cool.
  3. I'm excited about a radio shootout. My shop/man cave needs a new radio system so bad. I love music but my current system doesnt do music justice in anyway. If I could get bass like my Klipsch system in the house that would be sweet. Ive been eyeing that newer Dewalt and Bosch system for a while. New Ridgid seems to be getting good reviews, but stories of bad lcd. Im curious to see what Dan and Eric say. Ive been a bit of an audiophile for many years but building a nice component system takes up quite a bit of space. And jobsite type stereos can withstand the dust and such better. My current junk system no bass in anyway just a super low end RCA system. Im hoping I can sweet talk the queen of the castle out of a couple hundos to get what I want.
  4. one trick is to hang blank cd's on branches by a string,if they are nesting you might not be able to do much to get them to actually leave thou. you'd think in areas where birds have high populations they'd have a bird control dept or something. They still have dog catchers nowadays, why not birdcatchers?
  5. Gotta spend money to make money.
  6. The problem is you bought a MAC,get a pc and everything will work like it should.
  7. Thanks for the heads up,I'll have to complain to them about that.
  8. Most of the younger guys in the shop now have HF boxes due to me telling them to check them out. I told them you have years to go for that sweet Kennedy stack. I could probably have at least 6 of the big HF boxes for my lower Kennedy alone. My box weighs a literal ton,I buy beer for ones that can move that thing. Machining tools like pin gage sets and such are super heavy. It adds up quick. The nice thing about the HF boxes is everything is ball bearing slide constructed and the gauge of metal used is strong.
  9. I misspoke,Here are the Milwaukee tools I have. Only a few hand tools,no red power tools. If I were to get one it would be the HT impact wrench. Brushed or brushless doesnt matter to me all that much. Gen 2 brushless stuff is pretty awesome thou.
  10. Milwaukee, husky, or HF toolboxes should suite your needs. I just saw some smaller versions of milwaukee rolling boxes at HD just yesterday. I shoulda taken a pic but spaced it.
  11. HF makes a black one my buddy has one. yeah its a lil smaller. we enclosed his in with some 1/8 sheetmetal plate just used Tek screws to mount them to the cart. we water jetted out and bent up some holders for pry bars and such on his too. fun what you can do when ya have spare time and the equipment to do it.
  12. Yeah man protective boot for an impact is a great thing to have,I have them on my pneumatic impacts, they look like ass but when you pull that cover off the tool looks new.
  13. Those clips arent bad, there are some out there by a company called Wago. I like the Wago lever style ones. Ideal makes decent stuff. We use push style connectors all the time in machine assemblies. They work well. I can highly recommend the Wago brand, they have a push style connector for nearly every type of wiring job. www.wago.us
  14. I havent tried one,but Bosch owns Freud like mentioned above. Im pretty sure the Bosch daredevil circular blades are good. I really like Diablo blades, they are hard to beat. If I found either one on a good sale id buy them up.
  15. I did end up at HD today,I did spend some dough there but while we were there the strap on my daughters shoe decided to end its life so off to the shoe we went. So instead of getting a pack of recip blades to go with the soil and such we bought, she got new shoes. My wifes spidey senses musta went off or something lol. I did score a can of WD 40 dry lube and must say its pretty good already.
  16. I use Lenox blades too which alot of folks seem not as well. Ive heard good things about the milwaukee blades. I love my Lenox holesaws which is why i got some Lenox recip blades. the bosch blades are just crazy good and make prety fast work of things. I imagine one day when i have a more powerful recip to tryout id be even more impressed. I totally gotta do my yards today and I may need to hit HD
  17. Im glad we dont have that either,we have stupid pretty stringent smog inspections every 2 years thou.
  18. Well sir,I only have 2 of the 4.0 batts and I did that with one. I then swapped batts and finished the larger stuff I didnt take a pic of with plenty of battery left. Its all about the blades used I feel, the bosch are pretty damn sharp and aggressive and I dont put excessive pressure on the tool,I also never cut in the same position i'm always rotating the tool while cutting to keepthe bladein the work.
  19. With the old price you could get 5 for $100,now you get one less for that same $100 makes me wonder what the real story behind the price increase was.
  20. Nope no Milwaukee at the moment,I like to be different. For 20v line I have Porter Cable(Dewalt) and for 12v I have Bosch. I try not to support China manufacturing because it takes away my work I have Dewalt,Bosch, and Porter Cable corded tools also.Have used Makita grinders for alot of years in shops. Im just a tool junkie/DIY'er/Tinkerer guy. Machinist/Fabricator by trade. Nowadays I mostly work from home CNC programming and such.
  21. All the new stuff is 18v. 20v max = 18v same shiznit different market scam. Honesly id be going for whichever of those I could find the best deal on,all 3 are pretty darn similar,I myself would be more partial to the Dewalt or Makita.
  22. its the same dude, 12v max = 10.8 legit volts
  23. I am vested in Bosch 12v line,i dont need a large majority of what the m12 line offers.
