  1. Well sir,for Pruning I use Bosch 12" and Lenox 9" There is also a really great pruning blade made by Diablo,When I was at HD yesterday they had a sale of sorts on the Diablos, buy a pack and get a free blade. I have alot of blades so I didnt get any,as long as the blade is 5 or 6 tpi or less it should work pretty well, especially with a beast of a tool like that fuel sawzall you have. Not pictured was some of the larger branches I took down that were approx 9 inches in diameter, didnt really take all that much longer they were wierdly shaped thou so I had to be a bit systematic while cutting them. The bosch blades really fly thru some material, the only thing you gotta watch out for with them 12 inchers is hitting branches behind what your cutting or concrete when you are cutting into smaller peices.
  2. Not really tools per se but hardware and such could be considered a type of tool.
  3. Makin some saw dust today. With my trusty Porter Cable pruning recip. If I had a chainsaw would be faster, but weather is nice and being outside is good all around. TGIF yall.

It should work,I just use an a/c hose and bulk tank. As long as you dont have to crack the system open you shouldnt have to vacuum.
  5. Thanks for the heads up man, looks pretty cheap on Amazon. Today I had to get some stuff for my daughters bday squared away so no tools yet today other than some spare hose nozzles that I found for $5 a double pack for metal ones. Supposed to hit 90° today so just staying cool for now hehe. I am in need of a bottle of anti seize and some penetrating oil. I may go check out the new Napa auto like 3 blocks from home now.
  6. Man that is so slick looking. I love stone countertops. Ive been eyein grey quartz for ours one day. Nice work man,it looks very fluid.
  7. Thats a sweet idea bro. You should make some schematics and have a prototype made. As to finding large pipe wrenches cant say ive seen anything but whats been presented thus far.
  8. Yeah the flextorq bits are pretty soft at the tip,at least with the Phillips bits, the torx, square, and hex ones seem a little better. Im gonna try and hit HD on Friday and see if I cant score some Makita gold holders and bits. Holders and bits mmmm sounds like tasty kibble.
  9. The Dewalt mag sleeves are strong too, easily hold 3 inch construction screws. I use the one I linked above with the bits that come with Spax screws(only wood screws I use nowadays) works really well, bit retention is awesome. Dewalt Flextorq bits are kinda meh but that holder is awesome. Maxfit are much closer to goodness of the Makita gold bits. Hard to go wrong with either of those sets because they are easy to find at HD and such.
  10. Id say pretty good,i havent bothered trying to take it off yet or anything. Cuts like a champ.
  11. I dont have either of these, but have heard great things about them. I wouldnt mind getting one to try. I have had good luck with one of the Dewalt ones, its actually a pretty decent holder: http://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DWA3HLDIR-IMPACT-FlexTorq-Screwlock/dp/B00GMHDRMS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1462856930&sr=8-6&keywords=dewalt+bit+holder
  12. Anytime brother, and dont forget to take a few moments out of the day to take care of yourself. Even if its just something simple like a beer on the porch,or some shop time.
  13. man I love that I started this thread. You guys have some nice gear stowed away.
  14. I think open office and such can do it too.
  15. Thats a great idea,I think I actually have a bunch of those. Thanks for the idea.
  16. Nice selection brother. I need to get a labeler so I can do that with mine.
  17. Cool,I have some Plano ones too. I probably have a few i could free up as well. one i use for electrical connectors and such.
  18. Have had this thing for like 20+ years now,not sure the brand but it was purchased at Sears back then. Still works great. I know alot of folks like the milwaukee one, what are yall using? Im gonna expand my collection soon. Never enough hardware storage.
  19. That looks great man,I like that.
  20. Awesome Chris, congrats! Nothing to be skeered of man, after a day or two natural instincts kick in. Gives another thing for you and the misses to bond over as well. My suggestion is to relax and let it ride man. Kids are awesome, especially when you can start doing projects with them. In the very beginning can be a little rough due to lack of sleep and such, just do what ya can to make momma happy and comfy. Things will be all good. I have 2 sons and a daughter and the 3 of them are gonna be teens at nearly the same timeframe. My kids are amazingly good compared to many kids most of us see in public, but I dont put up with any nonsense. My kids know how we expect them to act and that they might get a little tap if they get a little crazy with the boundaries.
  21. Short answer no. are there blades that will cut thru multiple types of materials? yes. Please define more of what it is you are trying to do bud,the way you worded your question makes it a little tough to steer you to the proper direction. To cover most types of materials hard to go wrong with Diablo blades. if you are trying to cut masonry or something, you gotta have a diamond abrasive blade.
  22. How aout jacking/blocking up the table and using a deadblow to plow it back thru then make the hole bigger? using a holesaw or something. The threaded end looks easy to reattach if you need to remove it.
  23. Yeah for sure bro,got nothing but time. We arent moving ever again, this is our forever house now.
